Checking the logs over the past week I only saw 1 buggy moment where you tried opening map too fast and got delayed, then the next 3-4 moves after all got delayed too. Hopefully those moments don't happen every 5 minutes.
Otherwise, I don't know what to say about high pings. They could have something to do with the fact that TP is running on a very low end server, or they could be due to a yet undiscovered bug somewhere. :-)

lag does not affect poker

PRIDE

This is actually not the first time this kind of lagg has presented itself...I get spikes every 5 secs not every 5 mins.... If it's the server let's have a fundraiser!

i never lag. the problem with lag that i had before has been fixed. i used to lag every 30 mins on utanks, starcraft, league of legends, tankpit. i fixed my problem and never lag anymore unless someone uses my wifi which is rare.
the server does not lag
so many people suggesting this when it wont do shit LOL. fix your own lag. when you lag go in cmd prompt and type ping www.google.com -t and see if your net is spiking. there is so many obvious ways to tell that its yourself lagging and not the server

That suggests that it's a bug in TP... either in the client or the server....
Any idea if it happens on Java and HTML5, or just HTML5?

try clearing your history cookies etc. use chrome and html client.

I've had numerous problems with lag/freezing. I'm not sure if it is my ISP or the game, but my turns will get skipped and I just sit there while everybody is still playing normally. I've sat there with my homing shot on pause while others have shot duels.. It's happened during raids as well which lead to a quick death. Like I said, I don't know what the cause is and it is quite frequent.

i just pinged 3k in a 2v1. point is, its something with the game and not my equipment pride. lag exists on all internet games at some point. but when i play tankpit its awful, and only for like a week ive been getting these spikes. i dont even like playing because it happens so often. id put up $ toward a new server.

i've been having spikes randomly where i would drag and there would result in rapid firing from the game trying to catch up to my real-time turn.

I'd try wired if possible to rule out the fault of WiFi. I'd also try Java to rule out browser lag.
By the way, other games may not be affected because they are designed very differently, with special tricks to minimize and hide lag. For instance, the game can play on its own in real time and then smoothly correct itself as new information arrives that changes or invalidates the predictions that were made. There are some pretty cool techniques out there.

are you the same guy who said poker doesnt lag rofl. you know nothing about lag. i know more about lag than anyone on this forum. dont be an ass. obviously i know shitloads more than you about it. take my advice. if i dont lag on the game and you do. accept my fucking help and dont carry on like a whiny bitch. cmd prompt, ping http://www.google.com -t. type that when you lag. 3rd time im trying to help you now LOL

PRIDE

my lag resume? my router is one inch away from my monitor. i can see the activity on my router for the house for the past 2-3 years ive played games like utanks starcraft league of legends tankpit and have noticed lag instantly in any of those games as soon as it happens. league of legends especially is a game where lag matters the most so you could say i have a fucking diploma in spotting lag, i have the ping in the top right corner when i play league of legends, 1000 hours in that game in the past year. i know my network pretty fucking well. now i return to tankpit in the past week. ZERO LAG. who the fuck is anyone to say this game lags. give me a fucking break uneducated fucks. poker is a turn based game which lag would not affect EVER. only a disconnect can affect poker. lag spikes has no affect on poker and never will
what a shitty fucking attitude for someone who is trying to help. 0% chance that the game lags and im trying to help this fuck pinpoint his lag and he wont fucking follow my help

PRIDE

Wait, PRIDE. You said if your ping doesn't go up when you lag it's the game? My ping is always around 40 and I check it when I freeze up and it's still about 40-60. Just wondering what my issue is. I've tried both java and html clients with the same issue.
I've also noticed that it tends to happen to me when somebody enters the game.

i said the game doesnt lag. if i dont lag then how can it be the game.
if when you ping google.com and googles ping goes up when you lag then its your internet, if your ping isnt going up when you lag then maybe you have a really old computer. also i use chrome and html client. dont know about the rest of you. i dont think ill use java client again it takes forever to load up has a ton of popups and takes long to enter the game

why are you guys arguing with someone who doesn't even play the game for more than an hour a month about how laggy the game can be?

if steam downloads randomly (more games you have more chance of it updating a random game) it would be the samething as if you were running torrents and playing, i noticed this when playing league and my steam would be open downloading some random shit like dota 2 when im trying to play making my ping spike to 3000. anyway, ping a random website in cmd prompt and see if it spikes when you lag
i mean lets be real here. 99% of lag is probably from torrents, some random download, virus definition downloads. outside of that it could be someone else using your router wirelessly whether its a laptop or cellphone and those few things WILL cause immense lag

im going to stop responding or ill only respond with. ping http://www.google.com -t in cmd prompt when you lag. see what happens, theres no point in posting what you just posted, i cant help you. i can only help you if you ping a random site in cmd prompt when you lag. tell me what happens. apparently zero people are doing this. i dont give out real life details often but ive been fixing computers full time for 6 years. i know more than anyone about lag. if you dont want my help dont post pointless shit that i cant help you with. but apparently im an internet guru who knows everything even though its my occupation to know everything about lag even though i know about it on a personal level as well

all i have to do is type in google "how to tell when you lag" and this is the first link that appears. since im not trusted here is a website with very simple instructions. all you have to do is look at step 1 2 and 5. the only difference on step 5 is you type -t at the end and it will ping forever so you can minimize it, play the game and if you ever lag even once you look at the cmd prompt and see if your ping goes up as well, which will 100% confirm its your own internets and not the game, have a nice day uneducated minions, or should i say, newly educated minions

You can adjust this in the Steam settings, by default it's set to some stupid high download limit which hogs bandwidth like a mother fucker... Figured that out real fast when my mate installed that garbage.
