Should there be a full special awards reset?

Postby SW » Mon Jul 07, 2014 10:26 pm

Given that what's his name has bought 1/4 of the specials (probably an exaggeration, not an accurate number!) and Kyle and Sylar have hoarded another 1/4, and most of the top 25 has at least 1 special, should all special awards be reset?

This would level the playing field and respark interest and competition for the awards.

if I lost the WC I earned I wound't have any interest to earn another one, because I achieved that Goal previously.

lmao.

seriously lmao.

you aren't bringing people back by dangling a carrot in front of their face. this community has gone through 4 versions of the game at this point. maybe start paying some attention to the ideas that are constantly brought up. A second map, multiple top25s weekly/monthly/yearly, top25 for kills, top25 for hours, top25 for PPH, new awards that bring more depth to the current ones and ones that have yet to be used in the game.

just sad.

I think this community secretly loves the game getting some sort of reset. Why else would we be playing the 4th version? hahaha

i think that trading/selling accounts with or without specials shouldn't be aloud. along with limits on how many you can win. would for sure put a stop the the award hoarding. :hammertime: :hammertime:

i do think there are a ton of specials and not enough players which is starting to make it look silly, but a reset would be sketch.

FOR: Reset the entire game: all points and awards.
AGAINST: Half ass job. IE - Reset points but not Specials.

I'ts either an ALL or NUTT"n kinda scenario we're facing. Could suck for me cause I have 2 Specials and 11 Cups...........but oh well, I know there folks out there that will be getting boned just as hard if not harder.

As long as we're ALL on the same playing field........that's ALL that matters.

Lastly, specifically state these resets on the Homepage (ie - once a year, full reset, etc....). Slap in the face to all the folks who have 250+ hours and a early x-mas gift for those just about to Shiny. Either way, you have my FULL support SW. I'm just a little fish in the middle of the sea.

Sw is trying to be clever.

It's funny, because I think ws wouldn't gladly do something as brash as reset the specials just to get some vindication against me and Kyle for whatever reason. He did bring tankpit back from spite, I'm curious on the distance sw is willing to go under the impression that it 'hurts' me and Kyle lmao

In terms of the topic tho, had sw been serious I'd vote yes, reset specials. This would be pretty strange without a map reset tho, although I'd still opt for a special reset Ben without a map reset.

There's no reason for people to be spending or warning real money off this, and the fact that competition can't compete against me and Kyle isn't fair to this game. I think te awards should be reset so that other players feel like they hae a chance, and so sw can feel like he's done something.

Maybe you're trolling but but lol at "the fact that competition can't compete against me and Kyle..."

You guys aren't anything special. You just put more time and effort into submissions. Sure, your PH skills are really good but WN and a few others are just as good with graphic design. And anyone can win an LB or Dot with a well thought out submission and a little luck. Have you guys even won a WC?

Yes, you guys are talented but don't get too high on yourselves lol.

How's that a technically? Lol

Anyways, posting on iPhone really made my posts unreadable. I'll have to edit em. Point still stands, I'd be fine with a specials reset. It wouldn't help respark activity in the main maps and I don't think people need everyone award less to b motivated to try and win an award, but it may be just what this game needs to create some conversation and hype.

Agreed. This along with an extension of the top 25 to have several pages with the next top 75 would be a huge addition in my opinion. I think it would encourage casual players immensely - not just those who were lucky enough to have started playing the game when it was first released and were able to make millions upon millions of points. Many games appeal to casual players in that they - for example in an RPG game - have the game based a large amount off of items/stats and not necessarily how high a level you are. So although you may be the highest level, with the most HP/mana, somebody at a lower level can still have a rare item or an item with great stats, despite having not played nearly as long.

The prestige of being in the top 25 will still hold it's merit, without question, but casual players can still have something to strive for if they see themselves in the top 100 rakings, highest kills, best PPH, etc. With so many different playing styles, the entire renown shouldn't be based solely on how many points you've accumulated.

Compared to bf even new players can make rank worth effort... Resetting anything is asinine.

:dot: :dot: :dot: :dot: :ph: :ph: :wc: :lb: I vote for reset!!! And I aint hoarding no awards... lol. I have 200+ hours on all my special tanks. Specials better off going to someone you know is gunna beast them... But w/e :tehfunny: Much better things to invest my time into.

Edit...
:dot: :dot: :dot: :ph: :ph: :wc: :lb: still for sale. 400$ number 1 pph tank and number 3 pph tank. You could get top 10 on both by 300-350 hours.
