grats man.
and sigma - for players like kylemac who have taken well over 1000 raids, it is ridiculously easy to never die. the reason seasoned players like him and even myself die is because we challenge ourselves. if we all played like the noobfucks out there then the game would only be about pph. there is minimal skill invovled in pph though. taking raids is about the only skill in this game.

theres massive amounts ofskill in pph. if you dont believe that than all you have to do is watch the difference between someone who knows how to really pphand someone who thinks they can

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can....
Nope, still can't.

i don't understand what the rocks/unmovable areas in the custom tileset are supposed to be?
are they crates? wheat? i really have no idea
why is there a random tree stump, what is that even supposed to be?

So suppose at the end of a tournament, the top 10 are captains and the next 15 are all lieutenants. Did the #1 captain simply get luckier than #10? How about #11 lieutenant vs #25? None of this gap is attributed to skill at all? What explains the differences then?

More promotion points
I understand that. I understand that lieutenant A being ranked #10 vs. lieutenant B being rank #11 is exactly equivalent to saying that lieutenant A has more promotion points (hit more people, hit higher ranked people, etc) than lieutenant B. This is not what I am discussing.
What I am discussing is - Hurley claims that PPH doesn't require skill. And so I ask: if no skill is required in PPH, do we attribute the fact that some players out PPH'ing other players to strictly luck, then?
I personally believe (and this is strictly my opinion, not claiming this is fact) that PPH'ing requires a great deal of skill and experience, and it is one of the most valuable skills in TankPit, particularly for cupping. The fact that some players can consistently out PPH others indicates that luck alone cannot explain the situation - something fundamental in the way that they play is involved.
I think that efficient PPH'ing involves:
1 - Reading when your opponent will move to fuel on the screen or teleport off screen, so that you don't waste shots hitting the ground
2 - How to manage PPH'ing with multiple opponents, such as by driving on the screen so that one opponent is between you and the other opponent, so that you can fire at the further opponent, hitting the closer opponent in the meantime, to maximum your chances of hitting at least one guy
3 - Understanding when someone is willing and competent at PPH'ing, if you want to choose this guy to be the one you PPH with for 1-2 screens
4 - Managing your equipment, i.e. - picking up equipment when others are fighting / immediately after a fresh spawn, and emptying your duals / beasting when most people are searching for equipment that's already been picked up
5 - Executing angle shots around obstacles, such as the "knight's move" shot, to outshoot your opponent by 2-3 shots
And so forth. All these little things add up and matter over a 1-hour period of intense fighting, leading some players to accumulate more points than others by a far margin.
I define these intuitions are "skill." If you still claim these are not "skills", I'd appreciate your input, please, on why

i said minimal skill. not no skill. more skill is needed to take a solid raid then to produce max efficiency in a 1v1 or any pph situation. apples and oranges dont compare tho.
