Increase Equipment by 10 - 15%
I'm not the only one who's noticed that even in wet and predictable maps, equipment has been fairly absent as it used to be in the past. I'm well versed in knowing my maps, but find myself limping around more and more in search of eq.
Equipment is essentially what keeps the game interesting and is its unsung hero of playing. Should be a little bit more plentiful in map, not as much as practice, but at least a little more user friendly for main map.
Also one more gripe about the eq issue, why the fuck do i pick up 7 consecutive boxes of ers when i have 0 duals?

Wow dude. Totally took the words out of my mouth with this one. ER's have been popping up when I absolutely LEAST need them and EQ in general has been sparse. I'm roaming around 50 - 12 - 50 - 30 - 50 looking for duals...Pretty sure it came from a recent request on the forums for more abundant ER's in the tourney/main maps but I'm not totally sure.
It has been most noticeable over the past 3 days to a week - but something is definitely different.

brought this up to soundwolf a few months ago because it's the primary reason I don't play anymore. imo 15% isn't even enough from the current. I'd say 35% at least.

Should be something like you shouldn't be able to pick up a single ER unless everything else is full.

Not that I personally care, but an update like this would give an advantage to players who are trying to catch the current leader-board leaders. If you have spent 500 hours playing the map, spending an average of 10 minutes looking for EQ per hour and all of a sudden you could get more boxes per screen and that number dropped to 8 minutes (20% increase) per hour that would have the following affect...
500 hours x 10 minutes filling per hour = 83.3 hours filling (5000 minutes)
500 hours x 8 minutes filling per hour = 66.6 hours filling (3000 minutes)
17 hours of straight game play advantage over 500 hours by an update like this.
-----------------------------------------------
On a separate note, I have noticed that fill times in tournaments have shortened on average. In my personal experience in the last three tournaments I have played, I have received extra radars during my fill every single time. Which is a big change from the previous 15 tournaments before. I was averaging 12-14 minute fills with no extras, in the last three I have averaged around 8 minutes.
Apart from the initial fill, I have noticed that I am getting a lot more extra radars during the tournament too - which I am not necessarily opposed too. But it probably is helping the ones who would otherwise miscalculate their EQ and run out.

So sw should stop developing the game because the older vets who no longer play will get butthurt? Never really liked this argument but thats just me

Like I said, I do not care, in fact I would probably be for it since it is limiting/reducing the annoying task or "work" of the game.
But if a change is suggested - I think all facts should be stated and considered.

I can empathize with both sides. The nostalgia factor is and has always been a major part of this game. Is that a bad thing? It depends on how you look at it. Achievement, status, recognition (whatever you prefer to call it) by yourself and others in the game is what drives a lot of the community - so from that standpoint it's a positive.
However, if you're looking at it from a developer/business owner/entrepreneurial perspective, you really have to question whether preserving nostalgia is hindering your abilities to objectively "improve" the game for a new/bigger/more dynamic audience.
Did Ford Motor Company say, "I loved that Model-T. I'm not changing shit."?
But then, do you wanna be "Ford Motor Company"?

The Rev. I don't know why things always comes down to points for you, but in this case I could care less if it aids people in pphing better, this is to benefit both newbies and people who take raids and die consistently and want to get back into battle faster.
PPh is about fill fighting, not fighting till you die and having to recover from empying duals armors and ers.
I know points are your thing and you were never a raid taker but this does nothing but to benefit the masses in faster, more responsive game play for those who like to get their hands dirty and keep the map active with old school action. And it takes nothing away from any old school manner of the game lol.

I don't give a fuck if tanks can pass me by 300 hours if it means double speed equip times. fuck anyone who gets mad I want to play, not equip. equipping should take up less than 10% of total playtime. right now it feels like 35-40% total play time, which is godawful.
if jagex owned tankpit, equipment would've been nerfed so hard it would be dead content by now.

I agree we need more equipment for sure. Would make the game much funner.

stay on the green, no problems are seen
move to the whites, it's harder for fights
ignore the blacks, you can't leave your tracks

Actually, Henry Ford wanted to keep producing the Model T. It took the Model B and WW2 to keep Ford from going bankrupt.

I must be getting on your nerves lately for some reason ;p.
Like I said above, I would be for this EQ increase. I am simply bringing out all the pros and cons. If something is worth considering, both sides must be brought to light. Whether people want to admit it or not, many of the respected players that play do take pride in their PPH stats, right or wrong. I am not even in the top 100, so I am not biased in this discussion.
I agree that better PPH is achieved with fill fighting, but more EQ per screen will mean easier and faster filling regardless if your fill fighting or any other type of filling.

My point exactly.
The thought is that they evolved, Seb. The success of the Model T was unprecedented but Ford didn't allow it to handicap them by resting on their laurels and not moving on.

revs just being the 10th man, the devils advocate.
a change like this, while it would definitely increase the pph of tanks, only affects the people who currently play. if someone beasted a ton of hours and decided to leave their tank in the spotlight, they cant be mad when changes happen to shorten the expectancy of when theyre going to be passed. theyre now irrelevant. the only thing that matters is what the current players want and what will bring in new players.
when it takes longer to fill your equipment than it does to expend them the game becomes a chore all around.
