Map Selection

SW, people have been able to vote for desert 3 days in a row now. Just an FYI. Dunno if this is a glitch in the matrix or not.

I've been vouching for this over 2 years now.. :loading:

It seems common sense is hard to come by these days.. Who cares if the game isn't active enough to support 2 maps, you did it with Practice and that was sort of a fail in my opinion. Only difference is this map would actually be used, just not what you fellers are used to back in Battlefield's prime.

The problem is everything is comparing 'activity' to BF days.. "Game isn't active enough to support that" etc etc.. Who cares, you are obviously making a push to develop this game into a legit good game with all these updates.. Eventually we probably will gain enough players to support 2 main maps imo.

Desert always brought the most action of any map. I shouldn't have said anything, lol.

Desert definitely seems to attract the most activity when it gets its turn in the rotation. Map voting aside, that statistic alone has to stand for something...

The main map in TankPit currently cycles every 24 hours. Players can vote for which map they'd like to play next. To vote, you must be an active player in the main maps!

Voting for the currently active map will keep it open instead for a second day.

Re: Map Selection

Postby goober » Fri Apr 25, 2014 12:40 pm

How about keep des as one map (and maybe switch it up with rocks every so often) and have a second map that rotates with new stats incorporating the new point system? Newer players will gravitate to the 2nd map, old school players that have already established themselves will probably play des more and people can switch it up. Over time activity will probably be spread between both maps.

Re: Map Selection

Postby shermanfrombf » Fri Apr 25, 2014 1:03 pm

1. have a community voting poll on the tankpit home page for 1 month with every rotatable map.

2. there's 18 rotatable maps total. the top 9 highest voted favorite maps will always be in the top rotation and the least voted less liked 9 maps will be in a second rotation starting at the end of the voting month. daily map voting applies normally this point forward with new method. voting once for popular and once for unpopular.

3. this allows at all times there will be 1 of the 9 favorite maps and 1 of 9 least favorite maps available to play every day. giving the options of supporting high quality raiding and taking in one map, and the cowards and pussies playing in the community voted shitty map with a penalty of playing in said shitty maps.

4. ???

5. profit.

for added lulz and excitement we can all organize to hop to the least liked map and chase the established faggots and pussies around. and back and forth to fuck with them

imo I would personally like to see this finalized vote as I feel would yield the best balanced activity;

popular map rotation.
desert, rocks, tron, the pit, crazy maze, castles, elements, the nile, foundry

least popular rotation
aquarium, Iceland, deep six, metropolis, appaloosa land, crazy waters, levels, orbital, badlands
