TankPit advertising

Postby goober » Wed Apr 09, 2014 11:51 pm

I think we can utilize reddit a lot for tankpit advertising. Starting with this comment:

http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comme ... ll/cgopvv0

So go onto reddit make an account if you dont have one its super easy and upvote this. The more upvotes it has the more visible it will be to more people.

About a year ago I made a Reddit account with TankPit in the username and gamed karma for a couple weeks with comments that the masses of users would be likely to upvote. I ended up stopping because I figured the name I had chosen wasn't actually all that great and because the comment style I was utilizing to gain exposure made me feel kind of sick

I wouldn't mind trying something again though if we could come up with a better strategy

My recent brand of marketing was getting a couple of the guys from our division at work to play the other day when we had some downtime at the office. Before I pulled up the site, I was trying to describe the game in an attractive manner - ya know, I wanted to make it seem as appealing as it was to me as a noob.

I sat there and watched a couple of them get interested but I was instantly rocketed back to Bonus when I was brand new and would see other tanks with awards and ranks that seemed unfathomable to reach and I got hooked.

I gotta ask you guys: what got you hooked? Rank? Awards? What's the "attractive" angle you'd take?

Have to say the insane amount of tanks in map with numerous battles going on in desert is what drew me in. Sadly, I don't think this helps really.

I keep thinking back and remembering driving around as a recruit or private and seeing a colonel or general enter the map with "xyz" awards and being like, "WTF?!?! How the fuck did he do that shit?!?!" LOL

Flyseggs was the guy who literally got me hooked playing this game. I saw his tank and awards and watched him fighting and that was it.

this. and the numerous tanks that were in fighting with each other made it a thrill everytime you/i played. it seriously was cutting edge though.
