Promotion Points are Back!

They are back. I went on this tank thinking I would have like 200k, But I have 1.7 mill and I died 2 times on my major.

Are they total promotion points, hence not making them promotion points, but just points?

Or is it much easier to get promotion points these days? << EDIT: I believe it's this one.

No its not total promotion points. but thats the total I had on my major since I last ranked.

Its points since last death / rank. so however many points acquired since becoming the rank you currently are. you rank up, the physical number resets back to 0, but the total doesnt.

Incoming lots of tp hours. I may even cancel my own bday saturday :L

what about adding surprise EQ boxes that give a player 10k points when found? for every 1,000 EQ boxes picked up in the map by all players collectively, a 10k pp bonus box appears somewhere in the map and whoever finds it gets the points.

and then maybe bump it up to every 10,000 EQ boxes picked up, a 100k points bonus box appears. kind of like a jackpot or something

congratulations. lets hope this gesture of good will from sunwolf isn't abused to make people avoid taking raids for the sake of some stupid points counter.

like that mattered anyway. there was a surprising amount of cowards in tankpit in the two+ years of the game's existence without pp implemented.

Is it by design you get points for blowing up mines at major but not recruit - captain? I also noticed you get points for planting mines.

FYI, points never made a difference whether I played or not, but, this is really cool to have them back. A+ for SW and I'll second what sherman said. Hopefully people don't abuse it.

so many people are pussies about this. people still took raids in battlefield. the same people that gain points to look at there points are going to dip on raids that always have. nothing will change and if it does call them out about it. you guys are so soft.

Everyone's motivations wax and wane. Some vanish for a few months or years while other stick around and act anal on the forums. They may or may not be back in the future, depending where their lives steer them. :eating:
