Tournaments

We were having this discussion on bfu chat tonight:

I threw out the ideas of tournaments with unknown end times. the tournament could last 23 mins or 1:34 mins. no one knows. deff gotta use strategy to play.

Also threw out the idea of tag team tournaments. When you join, you are pair with a random player. Players can elect to switch when they want, or it could be done in time periods. Say every 10 mins it changes person. Also could go about with each player gets 30 mins per tournament, (1hr for 2 hr tournaments), switching is by players will, but each must do their 30 mins.

what's his name threw out a eliminate idea as well.

With tag team tournys, do the 2 payers get half a cup each? lol

30 min tournys could be fun! good pph battles at lieutenant...

at first i was like damn this idea sucks.

than I thought about being in contention or close to contention and how much of a rush and how vital every move you make would be. especially snagging a quick kill, or making a quick pass to have the tournament end in your favor. definitely in favor of this. would also make last minute die downs and armor fights virtually impossible. id suggest we give it a trial.

another fun tournament would be an hour and a half tournament. 2 hours get dragged out, but 1 hours feel too short at times. an extra 30 minutes could change the entire dynamic.

also a tournament where everyone starts as recruits with full equipment could be cool. eliminate the initial equipment rush from the equation and see how it plays out.

i feel like out of the box ideas like these should atleast be tested on some sort of scale. Might as well make small leaps towards new activity while the game is still young and growing before it gets too chaotic. this game is in like its 3rd beta trial. bout to surpass utanks :lulzz:

I've suggest this tournament idea numerous times. Honestly tournaments with unknown end times would be epic. It'd be a huge gamble on how to play each and everyone one. Would definitely help the lesser skilled players.
