I am on the fence with your opinion. I do agree that any online community needs drama to be interesting and addictive. But I don't agree that we need to be hateful. A healthy balance is needed.

the thing is, players are making too big of a deal on how others play. What ever happened to just ignoring the players who want to relax, or the players who want to only pph, or the guys who are going to newb around and do things like low quitting and chasing raids. Everybody needs to instead focus on themselves and what their goals are in this game, not what others are doing. Theres a difference between having community splits which encourage 'negativity' and endless bickering about whos doing what and why its not right.

The game thrived when the social standings of the community was split and we didnt have to share the same forums with the players who only cause bickering between the two groups. Having a 'bfunity' in essence will never work, because this game would be obsolete if everyone was united. thats not how a war game works.

If we are making an argument about why it was "so much better" back in BF days - I agree with this ^. Back in BF days, I played for years without ever talking to anyone. So I therefore had no idea what everyone thought or what everyones "opinion" about the right way to play was. That is a good solution, but it may also inhibit activity on these boards
