Autoscroll Indicator
This idea just hit me and i figured i'd post it.
Not really a huge idea here, but something i think a lot of people would find useful. Constantly during raids, or just game play in general, we turn auto scroll on and off. But after a moment of not using it, some times i forget whether my autoscroll is on or not. then I have to hit "A" two times in order to check. Not a big deal, but in a raid, that can waste precious seconds, or even an entire turn if you move to the edge of the screen and it doesn't auto scope.
I think there should just be some small way to tell if it's on or not. Maybe the four "bolts" in the corners of the scope panel could be lit up when it's on or something.

I wouldn't mind this. Perhaps a subtle lightening of the 'Scope' text could be the indicator?

I intended to submit this idea many moons ago but then I realized that it's a player skill to remember the status of your autoscroll status at all times, and that having an indicator would just make the game easier for no good reason. Despite how terrible I am at remembering whether autoscroll is on or off myself, I'm no longer in favor of the idea and intend to just get better at remembering
I think we should remove indicators on how much equipment we have. It should be a player skill to remember your inventory. Otherwise the game is unnecessarily easy.

This is a good point. Admittedly I debated this myself before posting. I agree that, this game being as simple as it is, should keep as many elements of skill in tact as possible to separate the "good" players from the "best" players. However ultimately i decided to categorize this as more of an annoyance than a skill. My reasoning being that this (being unsure whether auto scroll is on or off) mostly comes into play when i first enter battle directly after filling

I always keep mine on, and turn it off for situations so I know what my autoscroll is always. For example if I wanted to grab a piece of EQ on the edge of screen, and I know I will land on edge of screen autoscrolling me, and I don't want it to... prob for many diff reasons... one of the main being there is prob someone on my screen at the time I would still like to shoot. Many diff reasons why you would want to have autoscroll on/off, but I really think you should just remember whether it's on, or off. Peace, Love, and hippie grease.

The skill in autoscroll is using it in the first place, not toggling it repeatedly to check what state it's in. Having an indicator come up might encourage the beginning player to discover its use by giving a subtle hint that it does something important.

Just wish it had a on screen button so I didn't have to jumble around and hit A when needed.

Although you already understand this, pretending there isn’t a line doesn’t mean there isn’t a line.
Some may believe not having an indicator is a practical way to further separate players based on their skills, or that keeping a constant mind to autoscroll is a talent well within the reach of everyone’s potentials, or that learning to do so isn’t a very saddening task. I think my position is genuine, close to the line, and constructive.
Appeal to extremes 101 though, but you knew what you were doing
I'm not against this idea, but unless someone or me designs a new interface for the client and allocates a place for such an indicator (something tappable would be nice, so not an extremely tiny light somewhere), it's not going to be added.

what about some type of button on the interface that allows one to connect directly to the command center of the nearest fast food restaurant?
