Shot Counter
Instead of showing promotion points under stats, which could drastically alter the way some players play the game, what if instead it displayed a shot counter? It would work the same way the promotion points stat worked in terms of being reset after each death/rank, so you wouldnt get to see a total shot counter.
Some of the benefits if giving players that instant satisfaction of having something to track rather than counting the seconds, which can get boring and depressing at the same time. It allows players to set daily goals, like say 300 shots per day. It doesnt reveal the differences in points per rank, which is what sw was trying to hide I think.
Any thoughts? Any down sides? I think its a solid addition that doesnt hurt the game but gives some extra incentive to just go in and fire some shots, even if its only for say 20 minutes. It also allows players to try and maximize efficiency by attempting to beat their previous best shots per hour, which contributes to some activity. Hell, it could even help to motivate some people to take raids and see how many shots they can fire off.

I think adding the points back, but having it roll back to 0 every 100k(+/- a lil) would be best. That way you don't get the tards who try and rack 5 mill. (If he plans on bringing pp back)
If not I think a shot counter would be cool, but I think it too should roll back to keep the same tards from trying to get 1,000,000 shots lol. It would be cool to snap a ss before/after a raid so you could see how many shots you fired off.

It's a good idea. The only problem is that, realistically, not all shots are equal, and this system wouldn't adequately represent that.

I don't know if this is really a bad thing - it's just a particular style of play - but if PP were abused in this manner the counter could simply stop at 100K (or whatever number) and show "100,000+".

I mean, even without the pp, people that care so much about pph already play like chuds and can compare dick sizes with how they rank as gen. Most people will probably not care so much, and if people are raid dodging just to rack up a stupid amount of pp they will be called out. self policing. There is still plenty of 1v1ing going on, adding numbers will make it a little more interesting and less monotamous/boring. I just like to know pp for tourneys at least to see how far behind I am and such. Plus its good for newbs to figure out hitting a gen will gain you more points then hitting purple-6. Although purple-6 plays like a beast.

im gonna be honest, no matter what anyone says when you get a ton of points on one rank it becomes hard to physically allow yourself to lose all of those points, especially when you get say 700k and want to reach 1mil. I dont quite understand what you mean on every shot isnt the same sw, point wise thats obv, but do you mean say, someone shooting bots non stop will have a skewed perception of shots compared to someone who fights humans and runs the risk of accidentally dying? either way it doesnt really affect much. I like the idea of a shot counter because it keeps everything symmetrical and allows players to track progression with out giving away too much information.
