Filtered messages

Would it be cool to be able to filter messages? Sometimes I just want to turn messages from other players off so it doesn't clog up my log. Or I don't feel the need to see the "_ hit _" messages because I can see that on my screen. There could be a setting where "detailed" displays everything like it does now and "condensed" where messages from other players as well as "shooting" messages are not displayed.

well you can already hide the player messages. the hit messages you can not, but a different idea for sure.

You can't see on screen whether ally or enemy is shooting from off screen, and nor can you see anything if the map is open, and it can be hard to count the shots.

IMO adding a hotkey for this sort of thing would just be hotkey overload and probably no player except yourself would ever use it.

Maybe with the future HTML5 version of the game you can block whatever messages your heart desires using a CSS rule (ie. with AdBlock plus). :tehfunny:
