Marketing Idea

Let me preface this by saying I am clueless when it comes to legal issues so maybe you guys could help me realize if this is a feasible idea or not.

That being said, before we changed our name to Tankpit, Battlefield was our name since the late 90s. The console franchise battlefield has many followers and is a very popular game in the current world. Would we have any stake in claiming they used our (bonus.com) name while we had the rights to it? If nothing else, this could give us a moment in the spotlight and bring some fresh eyeballs onto tankpit.

I'm on the John at work so this message might not make any sense, but do you guys see what I am trying to get across and do you think it could work?

There is no copyright on the term battlefield for games, see the 60 million games with battlefield in the title. Nor does SW own bonus.com, the name battlefield, or any of that. Absolutely no leg to stand on but at least it was a good thought.
