Disincentivizing Generals from Hogging Pointless Kills
There seems to be a somewhat perplexing problem with a bunch of generals who enjoy taking unnecessary kills at the expense of players who are actually willing to die. I have a couple suggestions I'd like to put out there that has no intentions of reprimanding them for their style of play, but to simply takeaway or regulate general incentives for killing unneeded ranks.
My first idea would be to strip generals of the ability to receive extra points for killing a human player no matter the rank. Or if that is too radical, then give them the amount of extra points to that of what the bot kills would earn a general pre-extra point removal. Although the extra points aren't very beneficial, the fact that a message following the deactivation message saying you haven't earned extra points should make them reevaluate the benefits of killing players that others could rank off of.
Another idea would be to completely bar them from gaining the players extra equipment from any kills except for the bot eq gifts when you really need to fill. The restriction seems minuscule but it would force them to refill sooner providing an opportunity for their teammates in need of a kill to raid other players and rank in the meantime. Also, it would make the generals more vulnerable to do deactivation themselves resulting in them either: taking a raid themselves, marathoning or quitting out to preserve rank. All the possible reactions would give the other players a solid chance to rank without a bunch of generals aggressively chasing potential ranking kills as if it were a kill to take the lead in a tournament.

this does nothing to enhance the tankpit experience nor does it stimulate activity
only thing it does is forces generals to sit in a corner and fight each other since they would be operating with the knowledge that raiding someone and killing them is futile

I'm sorry to hear that, but I enjoyed your dramatic general scenario that is about as likely as buying into a tankpit tournament.
