Rofl, there is maybe 1 or 2 legends to ever have played apps. I think SQUID1 is the closest thing to a legend we have. I love how this new Legends list has players that weren't even previously on the Greats list. And how the fuck does fighting 1-1 with babemagnet for 100 hours make you a legend? And if someone has to ask to be on the legend list, they aren't a legend.

If theres going to be a greats and legends define it. Seriously what made Karina so good? What made SQUID1 so good? Explain the difference your trying to prove between legends and greats. Yeah I see myself on the legend list, but why would I be on the legend list? Maybe it is because I passed thas and bob and am the only person to do it? But also I wasnt the worst fucking player to play apps. I know Im not the GREATEST to play apps, but whenever I was on the fields name 1 fucking person who was better than me in my time of play. And when I mean name a player, name a player who played actively. And dont give me that bullshit saying "you played when no 1 was active" Shit I started in late 03/very earily 04. In 04/05 apps was a really active map but yeah it was declining. But jesus chirst dont come storming down crying about whos on what list when you compair someone who IS on the list to someone who ISNT on the list and there the exact same. Which is why the creaters of the newer forum (MoD/WSM)'s Im expecting to be completely bias and living in the past because they cant get over it. They wont exept anyone who is newer in the map because they considered apps "dead" when there was 8-10 people in. I dont even give ashit about the site im already prepaired for the bullshit to be displayed.

When I came back like half a year ago you weren't very good. Probably slightly above average compared to current apps players. If you think you were better than me then you really don't understand the game. There's probably many players who played during your era who were better than you, there has to be. I'm not saying this to brag or because I don't like you, its my honest opinion. Passing insert and thas was totally pointless, no one cares about numbers. You also refused to take raids from current teams, and made bullshit excuses. How can a legend be scared to take a raid, they would jump out there to try to dominate every team in the map. And a legend would have to be well-versed in all stages of the game, yes that includes tournaments. You can't argue your way into being a legend or a great player, its your gameplay that does that.

My definition: A legend is someone who commands an aura of respect and has done a lot for the map, without constant conflict, controversy, or arrogance.

A great player is... a great player. Means skill not numbers.

the legends page will be based on old and new players that we feel have exceeded most other players abilitys in apps. including lack of gayness while playing. killing bots at the rank of lit for 500 hrs doesnt make u an apps legend blade, the only difference between u and the average player is that u had the will power to play till u passed thas, u didnt have a good pph, and u didnt do it in any way that would make me think u are any beter then the average apps player.

Blade, I don't remember you in 04 let alone 03, maybe it was late 04. All I remember about you in 04/05 was your constant faking, running to water and avoiding fights on land.

I am sure you have changed the way you play, and I can look past how you used to play, but theres nothing about you that makes you an apps legend.

Firstly, numbers don't mean anything, especially when you have faked for half your points as everyone keeps telling me.

taz devil who was #1 for ages was always looked down upon, he was a decent player but faked for half of his points, sucked when there was more than 2 people on him and never did anything great. He was #1 in apps yet everyone thought he was one of the worst players to grace apps, just like insertbob and thasgottahurt.

On the other hand, people like Blacksheep1 who barely made the Top10 are considered Legends because of their brutal skill. BS1 could take on 7+ people and actually fight them without dieing. He was vicious in 1-1s, I had many many 1-1s with him and I, along with many consider him to be a great legend.

People like SQUID1 are considered Legends for other reasons. The original SQUID1 was not considered a Legend until he made SQUID1. FeRoCiOuS WhALE was a good player but because of the great team he put together, and the skill he developed he became a Legend.

There are many other Apps legends, but it is difficult to define an apps legend today. You guys have an empty map to fake and cheat without people knowing, you guys have so many different DTTs/Hacks/SH, its impossible to tell who is really playing with skill and who isn't.

It was much easier to see how good people were 3/4 years ago, we didn't have all these DTTs and Hacks about.

If you guys want a simple guideline to check if your a legend use the following.


- Do 95% of people agree you have good skill?
- Have you taken on raid of 5+ by yourself and still managed to kill one of them?
- Top 25 in a decent amount of hours without SH/DTTs?
- Never used Hacks?
- Honest Player?
- Are people scared when you enter a map?
- Won cups without cheating, free kills and SH/DTTs?
- Do people also recognise your skill in other maps?
- Have you created or been on great teams with amazing players?
- Have you made people from other maps pay attention to apps?

If its a yes for all of them, you *may* be considered a legend.

People can say I faked all they want. I know how much I faked but never did i flat out fake for any points. I remember faking when I didnt know it was considered bad. Trunks aka Stroke it and babyboy2 would always fake and Id go in late at night and fake with them in water but never knew it was bad. I went from 31-25 maybe from that. Then I remember faking to try and catch up to insertbob. I was going legit til I go 5 mil and didnt pass him. I got a little pissed off and wanted to pass him quick so I faked 3 mil. Thas I passed over time of just going in and out I never really beasted to pass him. But about 5% of my pp was faked.

Go look at a great team for yourself that I lead. People do notice my skill outside apps, otherwise I wouldnt be on the 2 best teams perfs or aliens. Also according to your legend standards I think the DTT stuff is crap. I think thats just a way you can squeeze some people outta a spot on the legend list, and when I played apps yeah I made people think about the map, people asked me why I wouldnt leave apps and play a more active map, I brought some people to play the map, but whatever its your choice.



Im done arguing, Obviously my opinion wont change and niether will yours. I think some older players need to come back and see for themselves sometimes.

Noone from recent apps history should even be mentioned in the legends category. Period. You can't say I haven't played with you all because I have. I honestly considered 99% of recent apps to be weak players, including most of those working through the top 25. Who was there to stop you? Seriously, all you guys had to do was 1v1 people for numbers. When ae would come in, we would kill everyone with 3 people, yet 4 years ago or so, the "great" players were taking 7 v 1's and living regularly.

Basically, my point is that the skill level of most today is far below what it used to be. You all have speed, because of dtt's and the easy accessibility of high speed internet, but you lack the subtle skills that used to make the difference between a good player and a great one.

Blade: You say you are on the two best teams out there right now. Good for you. One question though: How many people actually play now, or give a shit? You are on the best teams surrounded by less than mediocre enemies.

Yeah, I'm talking about teams in other maps too. The toons were an old rox team. Also forgot to mention The Bugs, they were fucking kick ass.

Killing people while being raided has been done many times, I myself have done it half a dozen times, twice while being raided by the SQUIDS.

Apps has had many great teams, most of you just dont know or dont remember. Like any great team you have to have some competition, and the SQUIDS had some fierce competion, The SHADOW DEMONS....if you can remember them. The SHADOW DEMONS were fucking kick ass, another bunch of great players.

What about the Red Storm? That team had Oddball, rockee, Road Warrior, PPK and others.

The Mavericks are up there as one of the great teams of apps, we raped apps every time, we had good players but we didn't last long enough, therefore not a legendary team.

The Bugs weren't that great, but the thing I respect the most is they put their egos aside and just raided. I don't think anyone ever found out their complete roster, and it is only rumored that it was Joe Beta's team. Now that's pretty awesome, and never been done. And if you remember I was like half a year after SQUIDS, so I don't remember actually seeing the SHADOW DEMONS, only their brief description of them on SQUIDS site, and what some people have to say. However, I'm not going to judge what I haven't seen, and I don't remember their roster. And when you killed the SQUIDS raiding you, wasn't that during their revival where they had some Rocks and Des players who had no idea how to play apps. I remember a lot of them having problems not being able to adjust to apps, and then I think you got recruited for killing one? I don't know, good memories coming back to me lol.

And my point about killing someone when raiding you, I can't see any decent player getting killed if it wasn't just a slip up. I've only seen it happen a few times, I can only remember doing it once, and its because the raiders just weren't paying attention.

And I wish you could get in contact with some other older players and see what their judgments are on who's a legend. THe different perspective would be helpful. People like BS1 or rockee, but I think they are long gone. The only players I can think of from about 4-5 years ago who are still around besides you are myself and Caleb, and you saw all the same players we did when we played.

Like I said matt, the first time i created the huskers there was 8-11 people in the map everytime u went in apps. You werent playing apps at the time. We cleared the map every time of the 8-11. It was something like that, I killed one of the KoRns, cant remember if it was KoRnDuDe or KoRnKiD. I also killed Original Prankster, if you remember him, and SHARKY too. Maybe they all slipped up, or maybe they just were not used to apps.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure if you spoke to BS1 he would have the same opinion as me, we pretty much agreed on everything when it came to players and BF, we used to love having our 1-1s in apps and rocks, it was always pretty even, those were the days.
