On some real shit though lefty, everyone.
I really do believe SW would have to sacrifice full ownership of the game to a bigger website to reach more people.

Something that could possibly be done to help activity in the interim until the game gets really active is to go with all land-maps. Don't get me wrong, my favorite maps are probably Iceland and Deep Six - and the Apache map looks like a BEAUTY...
...but the amount of water on the map should be dependent on and directly proportional to the amount of players the game is able to attract at any given time. Water maps are so crazy fun when the game is very very active, but they become downright unplayable when activity falls below a certain level. As things stand currently, you probably need land maps to bring in players in the first place, so they should probably be the only type of map seen until things really pick up. I think that activity builds upon itself - the more active the map already is on a nightly basis, the more likely even more people are to come in - so I think a pure-land rotation could really snowball activity over the summer.
Oh and yeah, summer though. Might your best time to advertise. Get tons of kids playing. I hope you know exactly where you want to advertise!
That map, along with a couple others that LOOK okay, actually played god awful. I played in apache a few times. Badlands, Blast Zone, Quicksand...Apache.. The 4 that I practically wish I never spent a moment in.

1. A team objective, which be holding down a territory on the map. There could be multiple territoires depending on activity. It's would be similiar to a king of the hill game, but, going against SW entirely, points (numbers) would have to be implemented into the game. Adding territories to gameplay would not alter the general mechanics too much because the territory doesn't need to be a huge amount of points. Players just need something to actually fight for ya know? O, n btw, It's 2013 and without something to look at people get bored let's face facts. Numbers are always moving (points), and faking will be NOT BE a problem with activity. I know Jordann wants really in depth talk about ideas but I smoked some nice ganj a lil bit ago and am done typing for the night.
Sounds like the failed attempt of BF3

10% more points earned when your fuel is below 50%.
25% more points earned when your fuel is below 25%.
This is just an example, the numbers could be completely different.
Should encourage players to fight with lower fuel and would cause a lot of shield fighting and low fuel tactics (crucial mines / angle shots / scope shots / anticipation / etc).
If you don't want to change the point system you could also do something like:
Your shot damage increases by 10% when your fuel is below 50%.
Your shot damage increases by 25% when your fuel is below 25%.
And have your fuel bar turn yellow when you are in the 26%-50% zone and red when you are in the below 25% zone so people know when their shots are doing more damage.

shot damage should not change. We don't need any kind of alert for being low on fuel or equipment. These things are called paying attention / having skill.

He means your shots get an increase in exp not that they cause more damage.

All it would encourage is sniping at low fuel with armors on instead of doing it with full fuel. It would not help raid takers. If anything it might make them try to get low too much resulting in more shitty takes on average. Terrible idea. And it's +2 rofl

People will get low, more deaths, more players ranking up and down, a lot more risk involved so it would actually make 1v1 more interesting because you could be targeted with low shields to start with. Its a very good idea.
Oh wait, you care that players who can do this will be able to get a better pph than you who already has 100+ hours with out this feature... lol

When you or the raid turns on a sniper that is low fuel they won't be able to marathon as easily. You can catch they off guard and make them pay.
And the fuel bar changing wouldn't be for the purpose of informing players they are low on fuel, it's so they can realize that their shots are now earning them more points or doing more damage.
"We don't need any kind of alert for being low on fuel or equipment. These things are called paying attention / having skill."
If your definition of skill is being aware of your fuel and equipment level then I just lol at you. Even a brand new player is aware of this.

I like the idea with a small adjustment. Keep the fuel bar the same color. When you hit someone the side bar says
"you hit Vapor"
"Vapor hit you"
"you hit Vapor"
THEN you drop below the certain fuel level and the COLOR of the ""you hit Vapor" changes this indicates that additional points have been given for shooting under said % of fuel.

honestly one of the stupidest ideas. You are trying to make tanks like Huskar from dota. Shot damage nor xp should change depending on your fuel level. Also you say noobs are aware of these things but then you also are suggesting that you need an alert for FUEL LEVEL. There is more to equipment awareness than pressing I and seeing your inventory. It's about managing your equipment effectively over time by getting shots down range and refilling quickly. You really are a class A fucking moron. Is this why nachos gave up talking around here? An upgraded site would do wonders IMHO. Also if I were you, id look into making money for future TankPit projects. Putting advertisements on the site would be a start, but keep them off the playing page. Also throwing up a donation link wouldn't be a bad idea.

what's his name,
I do agree with you for once. I only suggest the changing of color on the side bar because it's less noticable. It doesn't have to be bright green meerly a shade or two different. When I'm attacking someone or taking a raid I tend to watch the field, angles, obstacles, mines ect...not the side bar.
If SW is going to change things this might work well.

If your brain can't process what's happening on the entire screen at once you aren't even a gamer. It's obvious when shades change, do you really need flashing neon lights?
I've given multiple suggestions myself and some of the ideas from other players have been excellent. I will still call out shitty ideas when I see them. They may seem okay on the surface but that's only because you aren't thinking deep enough about the possible effects or how it could be implemented. Now stay silent what's his name, nothing you ever say ever has any legitimacy. All you do is spew forth the same sort of random dim-witted bile as usual.

I've noticed that in tournaments now (with the random color assignments) the map placement is also random.
Could you change that back? I don't care about my color but I know where I want to go in.
Those of us who have played long enough intuitively know where equipment is most likely to be at and it's annoying as hell to be forced in somewhere bone dry and on the opposite side of the map.

I hear what your saying and believe your entitled to want this, although you must bear in mind that with the current system, everyone enters the game on a totally even keel. I think its a good thing that noobs could get lucky and get spawned in a zone with loads of equip.
The alternative that your suggesting is that the pro's keep entering the map wherever they choose, filling before everyone else and 99xp'in the tourn.
I know the onus is on noobs to play the game and get better with time but, even if a brand new noob plays a tourn and gets lucky with equip, they are never gonna win a cup, lets be honest.
The current system gives players such as myself a chance to cup legit with a lucky fill - I like!

I didn't realize you couldn't pick where you entered in tournament, I'll fix that sometime. There's not really any skill to entering a particular spot as the EQ is randomly distributed... perhaps the only skill is entering a spot that not many other players will enter, or a spot where you can drive around without teleporting much.

People like to enter at certain spots to find ferrys or like you said in places others do not search for eq. I noticed this but assumed you changed it on purpose. Looking forward to it coming back!

You're right lefty. I'm not a gamer. I spent my Friday night out with a girl that wouldn't even give you the time of day. I play TP for nostalgic purposes and fun. Sure it's MORE fun to be a skilled player. Hence why some of my raid takes were better than yours and I have 1/6th the hours. I'm not here to bash you. I just want you along with everyone else to at least be open to new ideas that may improve the overall game play. I understand your and 987's in-depth analysis of new idea breakdowns BUT realistically this wouldn't change the DYNAMIC of the game merely a small % of the PPH aspect which you seem to feel entirely too passionate about.

I still come around these forums every month or two, and found it interesting that SW was looking for a more skillful approach to the game. Keep in mind, I had no idea something similar to this was suggested this morning prior to me submitting this idea to SW. Regardless, I went more in-depth:
My suggestion is for tanks to become debuffed dependent on the amount of fuel they have. Naturally, if a tank is being destroyed, it is going to start seeing mechanical failures the more damaged it becomes. Here are a few debuffs to consider:
At 33% fuel: Your shots become 25%-50% less effective -- less damage. This debuff falls off once the next is obtained.
At 20% fuel: Your weapon systems become damaged, and you can no longer use Dual Shots, Missile Shots, or Homing Shots.
At 10% fuel: Your tank has sustained substantial damage and is becoming brittle, and you begin to lose 50%-100% more Armor Shields.
At 5-7% fuel: Your radars are now offline, and you can no longer use Extra Radar.
Keep in mind, the percentages I came up with, along with the debuffs, are simply just examples. The main focus behind the idea is the fact a tank is debuffed after sustaining X amount of damage.
I also submitted a couple ideas in concerns to faking, one of them being to reduce points gained when on a ferry.

Hello ValadieX,
I THINK I like this idea... BUT I have a large counter argument I need to type out to each of your points. This is seriously a good direction though. Heart says yes brain is saying no way.
Interested to see how AoW, Elements, Transformers, Simpsons feel about this.....

I hear you. The biggest downfall is the ability to take a raid like this -- teams would abuse it to the max. Though, let's say an algorithm is added that states if 3 or more different players are damaging PlayerA, then PlayerA cannot receive debuffs for 2 minutes or until deactivated.

Changes the dynamics altogether.
Encourages people not getting low for the sake of keeping maximum functionality.
It also punishes raiders for being fast. I would feel robbed as hell if I landed next to a target as he's getting hit by homings and could only shoot singles because I didn't worry about staying above duals.
