Didn't you play and cup in 1 of the first 3 tournies or something? Back then tournies were actually good. They turned to shit more recently. So that isn't a good reason for only playing 1 imo. Not that it really matters I guess...

Edit: although of course there was the lefty and liq cheating phase too prior to the wikidz/bluntz bros cheating...but back in january-march tournies were pretty legit.

Yeah, got gold in the 2nd tourney. Was crazy slow and boring imo. I literally watched basketball half the tourney and just cruised on a ferry dicking around. Game speed felt sooooooo slow to me... still does.

Took a raid on Ut as gen and let my sheilds burn too low, over the course of a few mins of taking it. I wanted to survive the raid so I attempted a fill fight but got duals up to the 60s and screwed up pressing sheilds the next time I fired back because I was thinking about all those dual boxes in a row. rofl

First 10-15 tournies were shit.

If you got a good fill you won because everyone else was filling until 35 minutes in.

I'd say tournies have gotten more interesting as of late because one in three or four are are much, much more competitive. The regular players have gotten better and the cheaters have improved, too.

It was ridiculously boring when you could cruise 5% ahead of kids faking without really trying. I can't speak for others but now I actually have to put forth some effort to finish 2% ahead of the newbies who try to cheat.

Sure the first 10-15 tournies were way easier but not as much as you are saying. People weren't still filling 35 minutes in...lol. I cupped in one of the first 15 tournies and have been playing them all along. I think the climax of tp tournies was when k12, duy, you, sean, ok, unbreak, Soiled Garments, afgoo, tdk and all the other good tourney players were all playing at once. The skill level definitely went down recently with most of the cup hoggers not playing them.

Well, I guess we have different views.

For one, I distinctly recall fill times being disgusting for everyone at first. Secondly, I feel that everyone is better now.
