Keyboard vs. Mouse, while taking raids

IMO, while the Keys (A,S,D,F) definitely make for a faster/smoother gameplay while raiding, the commands don't always "register" when the tables have turned.

Anyone else experience this with Keys while taking raids, or is it just me? Apologies if a similar topic has been posted previously.

You should have another option for 50/50. I use 'F' for map, mouse for radar and '1' for shields. Sometimes i use the mouse to shoot, sometimes the spacebar.

I won't vote because I use both.

I almost always map with the F key over clicking map...but sometimes the way I do it I click map. This usually happens when I land, radar, don't like the screen and go to another screen. I do this because I click to radar, which means my mouse might already be close to that location of my screen.

Ideally,
Keyboard: F to map, 1 for armor switch, space to shoot
Mouse: Radar, drive, mine

Just me...I know other people use other strategies but this helps me the most when taking raids. Ignore my messages in our fight earlier lol...I was just messing with my pal DESERT SWARM.

Thanks, added. You've always been one of the best raid takers Elliot (for me, at least), so if you're using 'F' to map during raids, I guess 'F' only gets stuck for me. Or maybe my timing is off slightly.

I use a,s,d,f, mouse for everything else. I have a mouse with thirteen extra buttons i use for 1, i, ?, L, f8, i always f up reaching for 1 so i addapted the 1 to a mouse.

Edit spacebar to shoot rarely use mouse to shoot.

Keyboard I use: Space bar to shoot and 1 for armor only. Everything else mouse. Mapping mining radaring etc.

I only use the mouse to teleport and drive. Max hot key usage. Faster no matter how you look at it.

You're welcome, and thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it. Using hot keys takes sometime to adjust. Like atelo said, everything will register instantaneously making you faster. I've yet to use 'S' to radar, though. Just practice a lot. You will get it eventually.

I like using the radar and mining hot keys too because your cursor stays on the game screen and you are in position for your next move. It's better. Probably around 50% + of the time it will result in you making either that move or your next one quicker.

I think I'm gonna try using them next time I take a raid. You always seem to be faster than everyone else so why not? My ping is probably the slowest so I need to do everything I can to speed myself up.

this, but for some reason i get more keyboard fails in this game than i should. as a result i've been actually using the mouse to shoot (never did this really in bf or ut), really annoying

Keyboard fails all the time but for me clicking the squars just seem to take forever. Both sides seem to have there pit falls.
