5 players that changed the game for you, tp/bf
TdK - He took me under his wing and taught me everthing he could about the game. My only disappointment is never getting good enough to prove what he taught was good enough.
Afgoo - The first tank I ever saw take a raid several times in one hour that wasnt a team tank. He also provided me with advice for game play. I was trying way to hard when these guys where teaching me. All three of us had big dreams for my abilities its just a shame they havnt developed past mediocracy lol.
Killer12 - First person I ever saw beast and he beasted often. Loved taking shit from this guy for sucking when his team raided me. I always wanted to do better and try to impress him.
Wardog - Wardog is a freaking beast, it just doesnt matter if its a mob or a few. He has timing, speed and smarts on the field. Him and Cujo are who I am currently modeling my play after.
Red Death/SQUID12 - My real life good friend got me into this game gave me a few advance tips to keep me from be a total newb in the begging. Although I do recall the first time I was a general on Nameless I quit low on BLOODSHED, Sick Life and a few other tanks. I came back in after about 10 seconds and took my death but still a newbish mistake none the less. I did as all newbs do when the first start up, I ran from raids, quit low (once) and died down in my very first tourney trying to free kill afgoo because I thought he was a beast randomly before we became buddies lol.
Honorable mentions,
Cujo - Ture sportsman comes in and takes on anyone or everyone and kills it too.
Hurley - Watching this guy takes are extreamly impressive. I was an idiot before when I thought he was running and taking like a chump.
Knock - Runs a highly respected team with the great crusher, is a very good sport, a great player and is always well mannered in his posts.
I have actually take inspiration from many players in tankpit. There is so much talent in this game it makes it very competitive. Its just a shame a few players ruin most of the fun and outshine the good in the game.

Liquified/BASEDGOD - I saw the #1 general acting like a shit nugget from the moment I started playing. Marathon if he ever got low on shields, q in most situations while under attack, never take his deaths, fake for hours on water even when there was only like 4 people in the map. Liq was my inspiration to go for pph and take over the #1 spot. Fuck this clown.
ShingRa - Retired his tank after shiner to play mw3 and dota2. Can't really blame him although I wish he would still play. He hates mobs but with a little practice, Shing would easily be better than 99% of players who ever touched this game. He is my most natural pph partner with possibly the best understanding of how to share fuel/eq and move in tandem through the map.
BLUNTZ - This guy is just extremely funny imo. Wouldn't hurt him to man up some times. At least lucy is helping to control his tpbb flooding, haha.
Kain - SR has been a pretty good friend in game. Although at times I could tell his opinion of me was clouded by all the negativity he had to deal with from player complaints. He was my buddy for a few weeks on Special OPS, and we destroyed multiple tournaments. Completely dominated desert. Even though he's banned me from the forum a few times SR keeps an open mind and tries to give people the benefit of the doubt.
Atelo - I consider duy my rival if anyone is. He called me his nemesis first after all. The reason for this is an approximate equality in basically all aspects of the game. Virtually identical at pph, raids, tournaments....DESERT SWARM is hailed as one of the best or the best by so many. I agree but see him more as my equal. Who the fuck are ya'll?

Devil-Spawn/Danthemole74 - these two guys were my first teammates. We started the nOOb's together and it was my first time really playing outside of Apps. They were both good friends to me despite what anybody says about Kevin.
evil frosty II - I saw Brian take raids in rocks and he destroyed them consistently. I tried to model my raid taking after him.
carnage - Mike told me how to play tournaments and once I learned how, it didn't take me long to get decent even though I played 1 out of every 5. The Jets also motivated me to be as good as I could be, and I learned to take raids from Jets in desert before they said I was in.
Meandean - Dennis and I played together for about 500 hours. When Mike, Dennis and I would raid, we knew each other's moves and were a well oiled machine. I miss that guy.
SavinnRyan - Josh was the only guy from BF I have ever met through the game. I drove to New York to meet him for business, and he treated me to dinner. He's a hell of a guy and he sacrifices his time and his safety for Uncle Sam and for people he doesn't even know.

A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Karina - A BF legend to anyone who is oldschool also was the person I cherished talking to the most on ICQ, he also won me my first cup when I was on a terrible comp with bad internet and that gave me a lot of confidence going forward during BF.
Spikes - Taught me a good bit on tourneys
The Squids in general most of them - Maid my life hell in app's sometimes I also joined them briefly
- SeVeR - (Craziest european I have ever met also decent at hacking computers not the game lol)
phr33k - his DTT changed the game for me and everyone

1. TERMINATOR2
Showed me how to take a raids and how to map. Also gave me my first tournament tips which lead to me winning a few cups.
TeD-BuNdY
2. Sean987
Despite our many differences, when I joined the perf team being with a lot of my friends RTL, BG, Oxy and 987 ( at the time we where all friendly ) It made me push myself into finding out I was one of the better mappers in battlefield.
perfect1on-6
3. SavinRyann
Joining the OPz really made me realize a lot of the stupid shit I was doing wrong which is why I stayed secret for such a long time. Then along with making a bunch of other random op tanks and cupping so I can practice raid taking members on the team really helped me along with learning how to take more then 5-6 at a time.
VOLANT CROSS
4. TITANIC/CaDiLLaC
Sean is the person that taught me to not care about the forums or other peoples thoughts to just play and have a good time and not give a shit about dying. This dude always lagged and always took raids no matter what. Was an awesome guy to be able to be apart of a team with.
BLACK HAWK CONFLICT
VOLANT CROSS
RED TIDE
5. cujo
Was on a few teams with cujo as we had a lot of the same friends, Taught me about tournys and how to take better raids. Being on this team was almost the exact same original perf roster but had some better people on it was awesome to be on this team. Honed in my mapping abilitys on this team racing RideTheLightning, BlueGhost and Unbreakable while raiding people. Had amazing fun on this team.

1. Marine 2 Division - The first player I remember meeting on site, and eventually formed a good friendship through social medias.
2.) Snyper/Drop Dead - These two guys are great, we have been friends for ages. Snyp and I a little closer, but Drop was a good teammate/player/friend. I plan on going down to see them one day.
3. guest 9 - phil was a great guy who was impossibly hard to piss off. He was a great leader for those who remember him from any team he helped with. He could beast hours like nobodies business and tournies for that matter as well.
4.) 003 - Recently met, as in tankpit, but he has kept me with tp for this long, and a great friend to have around.
5.) Racefreak - Race has always had a sense of integrity that no one can match. He has that eldawg persona about him usually. He is a quality player, and great to have on your team. We go pretty far back, (i.e. Doms(lolol), Insects, now in TP.)
Sidney I forgot about you, but all of the Elements are great friends of mine from bf, besides a few randoms like Hunter, great guy and beast player.

So i took the question as the 5 influential guys that changed how I play the game, for good or for bad.
bf:
evilknight0010 - never knew who this guy's main was. But first guy I met on aim when I first came back to bf as a kid. Let me on his team, gave me some fks for my trips and told me not to qlow anymore. his team didnt last very long but I got a batty on it and top 25 as my first main.
phr33k - made mad dtts
mjk - though his bible isn't relevant or helpful for today's tournaments due to speed increase. It gave a nice blueprint for newbies to make it to the top 10 in tournaments back in the day, which was a big accomplishment back then.
insertbob/thas - i learned not to play like these guys.
evilfrosty II - got me into poker and i stop playing bf lol
tp:
sr - got email from him, got me back into the game.
sean/tp dev - once they started showing exp, I changed the way I played tournaments so I dont get embarrassed by sean when I look back at the exp. This is when I started 99'ing some tourneys
speed/aow - now don't take this personally. I use to go pretty hard taking raids on starfox, basically going insuff on every tele when i land as most of the horses will remember. tdk and afgoo use to applaud me for going ham on all those raids. The reason I don't take raids like that anymore is because I realized some of the best considered takers on aow tele out earlier than I do and still is considered good. I survive many more 4v1 and 5v1 raids now, which I dont consider a bad thing.
wikidz/basedgod/bluntz/lefty/other newbs - made me not give a fuck about taking random raids all the time. If they are on me I will take, but will not go out of my way to take for random newbs so who dont return the favor.
sw - thx for the awards

PRIDE

Echo/Delta/ThuG LiFe/Big Show - Red tanks from Iceland that first got me onto AIM and communicating with others. Despite these being my newb days on the worst internet connection possible, I still remember it as the most fun I've had in the game. (I think dothedew might need to be added to this list as well, its hard to remember how far back we went).
Phoenix - First person to rip on my play style and tell me how to improve.
jordanp/Liquified/coolkylemac/killer - I remember red v blue battles the most and it was often against these guys. I ended up talking with Liquified a lot on MSN Messenger (wouldn't use AIM ;) ).
Racefreak/Drop Dead/Snyper/Hays/Kirby/Destroyer/Jake - First guys that I actually started doing teams with and I think one of them got me onto a DTT, not sure which though. Still see a lot of them in TP, great guys overall.
003/cdub - Met them in TP and had some fun times. They're both nice guys who play well. Solid teammates, Elements overall had a fun group of people that kept me interested in TP.
___________________________________
I know its more than 5 but I view it from a timeline perspective. Most of these guys affected the game for me socially rather than gameplay-wise, with the exception of Phoenix. He was the only one to ever take an interest in how I played and try to make me improve. Later on guys like winter and whoever played Cambodia showed me more on how to "PPH". I know I'm probably missing some names too. Sticking to 5 is too difficult ;)

carnage/meandean - these guys gave me the "fuck it ill take any raid that comes my way" attitude and taught me leadership skillz. good pplz.
phr33k - good times.
skip to my lou - taught me how to take raids like a boss.
987 - taught me to pay attention to the smaller things in the game to more effectively get points at a fast rate per hour, on drugs.
SR - he taught me how to make 5 failure teams to finally after a few years (with most of us leaving for real life) get it right and make a solid good team to actually compete (somewhat) with us jets. so now i know if i need to get rid of the jets i gotta make 5 failure teams before i get it right :D (or just let tugg remake them)

1. Ben aka phr33k- If you do not have Ben as #1 on your list, you are wrong. You either didn't think it through or did not play in the Bonus/playbattlefield era. This needs no explanation. He is easily the most influential person in the entire game's existence.
2. Pinky- Pinky's website is where it all began for me. This is where I learned about the unwritten rules of the game such as quitting low and the existence of speedhack. This is also where I first made contact with other players via the AIM directory.
3. Fabio aka WhoShotMe/SeVeR- He was the creator of BFI, the first non b2g message board for the community. This was the beginning of "the community" in contrast to a bunch of team clicks on various b2g boards.
4. EPIC9/JarnotiC- If there was anyone that ever took me under their wing, it was EPIC9. EPIC9 was a newb lover that took a liking to me. It is ironic that the person I learned the most from is also the person I trust the least. I have no idea which statements were true and which ones were lies. To this day, I have no idea if EPIC9 really is a half black female with a child. Probably not.
5. Mike aka carnage- carnage was the one that restored my Bonus tanks onto playbattlefield.com. He was a good friend even though I never played Desert nor was I anywhere close to being in his league. I also learned how to sniff out DoT worthy submissions through his example.
6. Kevin/Disaster Master- Matt's (Master of Disaster) better half. We talked more than we played the game. He mysteriously disappeared one day and I haven't heard from him since. Matt is a sub-par replacement.
7. Jason/whosyourdaddy- One of the most loved guys in the game. He was my best BF friend after #6. He also just disappeared one day.
8. Lefty- He is the third in sequence of BF friends. We talked a lot and successfully schemed to rack up special awards. Wasn't as into pph back then.

Joebeta- Finding his webpage and speaking with him opened up so many doors in the realm of bf.
Nemesis- Best of the best even fighting him 1-1 as a great player still kept me on my toes because of the way he was so caluacated.
madmike- Often played a bit reckless which became more and more of my playing style over time.
REDRUM2/ (recently) Fulgore- One of the funniest people I have spoken too taught me not to take this game so seriously even though I have a quick temper and tend to do so anyways.
SQUIDS- Great players individually who came together to influence and dominate for years. I had wanted to mirror their blueprint with the REDRUMS.
Nemesis- Best of the best even fighting him 1-1 as a great player still kept me on my toes because of the way he was so caluacated.

To this day, I have no idea if EPIC9 really is a half black female with a child. Probably not.
Pretty sure his name is Joey and he started playing uTanks under the name Icy.

Got me back on aim and the forums, I had forgotten about them when I came back in '05, and he reminded me. Solid player, and gave me a lot of shit when he got me on aim lol.
The Big Knight
After I got back on forums, Adam helped me out a lot on my play style, and after reading the forums, and such, I started to realize that I had been dicking around on the game.
NoVa
This guy with all his drama still helped me a lot when I needed it. He always got flamed, and flamed right back, I always got the impression that he just did not give a damn about anything, but he did know how to play the game right, he just played how he wanted too. He told me to stop some of the dumb crap I was pulling, and I got better after that.
SR
Always looked up too Josh, I would come play on Desert once in awhile, and would get raided by the OPS, got my ass kicked soo many times, was always fun. He let me joing the OPS in Utanks, but some stuff came up after I joined, and I dissapered for like 6 months, after I get back, tankpit came out, and no one was on the OPS anymore, made me sad, but its all water under the bridge lol.
The WHOLE EPIC team, because they always gave me hell in maze. They would raid me for 30 min non stop, then all of a sudden quit, leaving me to kill bots and w.e for a while. I ALWAYS did want to be on the EPIC team, but never have been given the chance, but then again, what team would want a nub like me lol ^_^ (I got on OPS, I think, as a joke from SR, but idk... ^_^)
Yeah, I've been playing this game so long, and still unknown to most hahaha ^_^

lol willy! I remember getting 13 hour mils on caucazn, pretty sure pph was the focal point of my play towards the end. Although, I definitely welcomed more raids back then too. But yea, we shot the breeze a lot faking in deep6. Then of course we were the 2nd/3rd AZNs after AmA-Z-N....btw I got the same aim u bastard lol

caleb (rat in a cage) my first bf buddy
Liberation Tigers
AL
WSM
Cyber Dragon
Then as I moved out of apps:
MoD - best duo ever
carnage

How can you say matt's subpar replacement, MoD taught DM the game. MoD stuck around way longer, player tons more raids, won way more tourns.. lol

TwIzTeD is the only one that I'd like to learn how to play like. I have never seen anyone take a multi colored mob of 10+ like he did. That dude seemed indestructible.

I'm not going to number mine but here are some people who I guess changed the game for me:
xxxquickdeathxxx/Josh: First person to recruit me to a somewhat decent team (Pinochets) and introduced me to bfu. The guy was basically a sex addict and not super serious about the game but he's still the first person that reached out to me as a leader rather than just a friend to play the game with.
HalfLife2/Jake: Jake is one of the reasons I stuck around the community thus learning the "rules of the game" and all that good stuff. Probably wouldn't have found TP if I wasn't randomly checking bfu to see what was up with him and anybody else who remembered me.
Hays and Race: Me, hays and race have made up the three musketeers of the elements for pretty much the team's whole existence. If any one of us had stopped playing, I think the team might have failed. Shoutout to the rest of the Elements as well. Awesome group of guys, great friends, and people I would enjoy meeting irl. I'm sure most of us will stay in touch long after tp falls.
GeNeRaL/Brandon and Kirby: I'm trying to think of the players that helped me change my "noob" ways in bf or gave me the most shit (Brandon) when I joined the forum and I guess these guys stand out. They helped me get started on becoming a respectable player although I worked hard on my own to earn that respect as well.

He's saying Elliot (eldawg51), Dennis (Meandean), and Mike (carnage) were pretty beastly, too.

Eric/Twisted Metal II - Got his aim when I was a noob and we bacame friends. He showed me the ropes an helped me out in many aspects of the game. He won the silver cup on TM32. Along with Alex (TM3) we had a lot a good memories. But, I do believe TM2 is responsible for getting a death medal on my tank right before shiner. When I todl him about the situation, he said he was talking to the person who had my tank and that the guy was a 'nice hacker'. After a few years I realize that the story was probably bull, and it was he who was responsible. Forgive and forget though, still havn't seen him since he accidently got the lightbulb on Legacy-20.
Andy/TTH - Flipped the fuck out on me one time after I survived a raid and told me to stop double teleing and to get lower (during the X5 era). I listened to him and started to take hard as fuck, and got mad props for how I played SPITFIRE in Desert. He also brought us Utanks which I was really hyped about because it was years since I played BF, and Ut was a great alternative. No one's perfect and the rage shutown he did in late Dec '11 killed my motivation to play the game but nonethless he is a driven and motivated individual.
Josh/DESERT STORM - Was losing motivation to play BF after rusty on HurleY, then he asked me to join OPs. I always looked at the OPs as the best team in the game with the humoungous retired list of legends on the team's site and all the swors the team had. Didn't really play Desert much until I joined and put in like 10 hours in my first 2 days. Had great times playing with Aaron (NOBLE JUSTICE), Joel (SEA ANGEL), and Charles (VOLANT CROSS). In Utanks we gave each other motivation to play because we were so close in rank for awhile, even though he had a head start while I was working on shiner in Blitz! Great leader and awesome person.
CrimsonMafia/WasteD TiMeS - I put these two guys together because they were my two favorite Rox players. Crim was the only non-faggot #1 in the game after Knock got passed in Deep 6, and was a beast. Wasted n I played many hours together since I was on the Times and my main tank was blue. He had sick awards for not having a special award. Nice guys that kept the game fun for a long time.
Elliot/F-71 Blackbird/HONOR - We never played on the same team or color before, but he was/is a great opponent. I saw how he played on Blackbird when I first started SPITFIRE and wanted to be like him. Never backs down from a fight and is a stand up guy.
Honorable mentions to:
cujo
TITANIC/CaDiLLaC
True Blues (cdub + guest9)
BlueGhost
Double Trouble (had my tanks and gave them back after I gave out my ccid/pw when I had a bad night)
Legendz-1/MECLIZINE

Oh ok, I don't remember them doing anything comparable though, maybe I just didn't see it as my time was divided to many other games. Does anyone have any video links?

No, but Elliot was definitely at least as good as the best in BF.
Hardest guys to kill regardless of mob size were bugaboo, Elliot, and Luke.
But my T5 are:
bugaboo
SoMeBoDy
TM2
Luke
SR <3
