Re: A few words
when did any previous bf forum needed to be heavily modded anyways? there is already mods for each section as it is. not denying I didnt do much but what really needs to be done everytime i want to read the forum anyways? little things here and there geez.
everyone crying over frog and pavan causing up some drama and people got their panties in a bunch. damn they did a good job on this forum, props to them.
now you can turn this place into a nazi mod club or something.
i honestly hope frog and pavan do more damage so eldawg can move posts like a good boy should.
inb4 im mad losing my powers?
edit: oh snap me being a good global mod?

I went to post and it was locked and the one for you was deleted. On top of things, man. Haha.
Imma +1 you for being a solid global mod. Hope you're doing well.

So your subtly slamming me at the same time using something I wrote about you doing a good job for support? What gives? I was asked to be global and I accepted. I shouldn't be faulted for anything but doing my best being new to the position.
Regardless, whatever you and the admins have to work out, I recommend you do it for what's best for the forum. If there is a shitstorm brewing because of this, I'll get my view out there. Zub was a good mod, should have been discussed a bit more before removing his authority (perhaps this was done privately). I also agree with the decision to make Knock and Jordann global for obvious reasons, their contribution to the forum via constructive posting. I'd rather step down and give it back to Zub if it's going to cause unnecessary bitching from anyone.
I'll be online in about an hour to discuss this further.

zub you know i wouldn't wanna steal your position. I just signed on and was in the midst of pming jake about bluntz when he mentioned i was global. I never asked for it back other then the random post saying 'gimmie global' lol. I was removed a few months ago for calling what's his name out and warning the tp community of the way he acts/plays. Although I do feel like zub deserves the global because hes been global since bfu started.

Here's the solution:
Since 6 globals (with zub it'd be 6) is too much for a forum this size, there should be a 5v5 TP battle to determine who stays. 3 globals on each side and each team gets to pick 2 regular mods to join them. The two globals who have been on the forum the longest would be the captains and pick their team from the remaining globals and bonus mod players. The first team to deactivate the other teams globals first wins and they get to keep their global position.
Perfect solution right?

I think we're just going to have 6 globals
at least that's what I hear from Josh. We're expecting zub to be doing a little more global-ing though. At least the work load between each global will be reduced

Wasn't expecting an admin to make this post first but..
I PM'd zub and Jake and got this taken care of. Jake was correct that zub has been slackin as a Global but was wrong in not letting myself or Enforcer know what was going on before stripping his position. Also the way things were taken care of, just wasn't the right way imo. Should be some warnings, or some convos exchanged before something like this takes place.
Were going to have 6 Globals, people will get over it. Life will go on-not a big deal really, game is growing and I've been seeing more people popping up.

That's all fine by me. And yeah, I do regret not sending zub any kind of notice. I just thought knock deserved the promotion instantly, and also that you wouldn't want more than 4 globals...guess I was wrong on that front though!

I think six globals will benefit the forum more in the long run as the community gets larger. There will be no one person taking over all the responsibility nor will people feel like one person is power tripping because we will be able to keep each other in check.
Case in point, I got a tad out of line and had to be knocked down a peg. Granted we have to be open to suggestion and be willing to listen to each other. I don't think over moderation will be a problem either since all of us have sound judgment as to what is and is not constructive/productive and what can be left alone. After all I think we're all after the growth of this forum and of Tankpit. Why would any of us want to jeopardize progress?
This gives me an idea that I will propose in the mod section.
