Feel free to list more. I know that they are a pain in the ass mobbing and killing you, but the thing is we, as the community, need to extend a hand and try to "convert" them. We try to get them involved, show them the way we play. I'm sure we can all remember coming to bf only knowing the people/ (no one) who got you to the game.

I will try and get some to come here. Someone could even try bluntz.

Just do what you can to bring players here and we can expand the community and the game. Unless you guys want to watch it die again, for the second time.

I don't know about the blue players as I haven't played much recently but I've seen hays play. He's definitely a noob. I'm thinking about asking him to join my team so we can shape him up.

To be on to be back on topic though, I agree with hays. If these players really are noobs/new then it would be good to reach out to them. If some are playing noobish just to be a pain in the arse, then there may be no hope...

these are kids you can be capable of killing 1vs1 even in desert, but at least they take the deaths. as for the blues most just play like shitheads on purpose. only come in to mob but leave when the color shifts. Unfortunately they all seem to just sit and refresh map all day, same goes with reds, no idea where half these kids come from to be honest.

If you guys remember lethalweapon24, did he ever get triple star? I think he had single star and rusty. Someone should have just FKed the poor guy to triple star.

For the people who you know are newbs like meh, maybe just help them get a star or something because if you keep killing them when they're lieu, they'll just get discouraged and quit the game or they'll start to quit low and develop bad habits to preserve their rank.


As for the blues, they're not newbs. They know how to play the game well enough, they just choose to play terribly.

That's being a noob to me. But some of them I highly doubt know of the forums. The key to this thread is to get a hold of these players. Try and expand this game, get them respected and they will get better with help.

well theres a big difference between a n00b and a newbie, newbies are the best to get in contact with because they tend to mold whoever they see on the field. usually inspired by the players highest in rank.

n00bs are newbs that went to the dark side, or just choose to play like idiots. These types are hard to convert(i hate using that term, but its pretty much necessary) because they dont really care about playing outside of their own selfishness. Ranks too important to these guys.

I'm all for trying to expand decency in game play though. Make it more known on the tpbb as well about being friendly, theres too many negative shit posts on the boards and that will turn people away. When you see people playing well, commemorate them on the tpbb for it. Give tips and what not, if people see a friendly community theres a better hope for players to play to the masses appeal.

Keep in mind that the blues see what the blues do and mock that, if theres a couple role models who keep going against the odds, some people will catch on and see the fun in it.

After jf got the triple off of a kill on me today were I had said brb 5 times and had just taken a raid...I considered him a noob, but he has taken plenty of raids now. He was quitting out before triple, but now he is balls to the wall. Congrats and removed from my list.

To be honest, and I've said this on the BB, I don't enjoy taking raids. I really don't even enjoy raiding. Its rediculous its the only way to rank up past major (Assuming you can find a new player whos sarg or lieut). Now what I do find most fun is team battles, everyone shooting everyone. Thats fun. Or fair battles of 5v5. The noobs won't kill the game, you don't see COD dying from campers. IT WILL DIE BECAUSE IT WONT EVOLVE. Its stuck in 2001, nothings changed.

You can't force everyone to play how you want them to play, its just reality

Now, I also don't enjoy sitting at general for too long, I like going back through the ranks, so when I get sick of it, Ill take raids to get ranked down. But I do not enjoy being constantly beat down by 5 tanks all day.

Think when you had the most fun, usually was when you were a newb floating on ferries running from 1v1s. New players being raided/mobbed and then forced to continue taking raids/mobs don't last long. Need to allow people to make the transition on their own. Everyone has different playstyles, so as long as they dont cheat in tournaments or be overly gay in main map they should be accepted for what they are, cowards. but thats as far as it should go.

Thats the most rediculous thing ive heard. Doesnt die from the massive player base, Its got a massive player base because they keep coming out with more, and remain consistent with what the majority of gamers look for in a game. Battlefield has stayed the same for around 12 years. Your all caught up in the nostalgia, so am I, i havnt played this game in like 8 years. The game doesnt have enough content to keep people interested for very long.

And don't worry, come fall I'll most likely be done with the game, im already getting bored. As are most of you, the game will be lucky to see 2013 at this rate.

Aye, people need to be more tolerant of growth. Can't expect a guy who just started two days ago to take raids like TwIzTiD. Gotta give people room to grow.

Good take Kalamiti, your pretty fast. I didn't mean to kill your gen so I came in on DESERT STORM hopin to take a decent raid.. Failed miserably, lagged and went insufficient after like 2-3 tele's.

Thx man, I knew once i had to cross that water i was fucked lol. I made a couple dumb moves, i was spamming map accidentally exited and had to reopen, lost a good 20 or so armors there lol. I went up a number though taking that raid, which i was happy about. And i managed to shoot off around 30 duals at you guys, tried to use rocks to my advantage too which worked great.

Ill prob be on tonight and im in the mood to be ranked down, so if anyones on tonight ill be ready for ya.

I mean I understand how its a touchy subject. But without people who strictly pph this game would fall apart. Look at utanks. there is tons of us who would take raids and raid for 8 hours a day, yet none of us will go in and 1v1 for a few hours to get numbers in. You cant have one without the other. And it all falls back to 'play this game for your own enjoyment' If you prefer to pph on a tank over taking raids you shouldnt be forced to quit and find something else to do. The only things that should be disallowed is cheating and extreme unethical play. Something like what lefty and shingra do, 1v1 and instantly shoot anyone who teleports in their screen/marathon to a new lake/block ferries/continue faking. That shits lame but just playing to maximize pph is alright imo.

People who are veteran's can find a happy medium, leaning more towards battles and raids as opposed to 500 hours of pure PPH. Some people just don't play during peak time, so they have to fight whoever is in, which is what I do. It makes everyone else happy, and I have fun taking raids. How people have the patience to sit there and shoot the same tank for more than a half an hour 1-1 is beyond me. I've done it but after 15 minutes I'm itching for a raid or to get raided.
