I hate people who give a couple of free kills so their buddy can get a double star -- let him earn it on his own. The "Be Right Back" message in game doesn't mean "Hey, let me get equipment," it means "Be Right Back," as you're going to log off for a moment. And, why would I want a free kill from you? If you would have teleported near me and dropped fuel for a free kill, I would have simply teleported away. What even made you think anyone else wants to hear you cry about stuff that isn't relevant to them anyway? -- just askin'.

He was your buddy, you two were trying to raid me previous to you giving him two free kills, but you were very unsuccessful, though I was firing just as many shots as the two of you. Sorry you guys weren't able to get his Major rank that way.

As I said before, I came after you because I hate people who give free kills. Just like you, I rank up and down frequently, and I am at Lieu for a reason -- I would have had zero desire in taking a free kill from you. I have had two people in the last 24 hours try to give me a free kill out of the blue, and I just teleport away.

Idiots use the "BRB" message as a message to tell people they need to fill -- any skilled player doesn't say anything. Who wants to know, or even gives a shit, that you have to refill, especially if they're in mid-battle with you? Perhaps you should get your facts straight, because right now you're just making yourself look like just another nub -- when you may not be in reality -- you're still giving excuses like one.

I love this clash of the generations. A lot of newer players seem to care about saying "Be right back" and believe in a bunch of "ethics" surrounding raiding that older players don't care about. Game definitely changed over the years.

I've been playing this game since '98, but even the fact of how long we've played is irrelevant. There was no such things as messages when I started playing -- played for years like that. The only message in game you'll see me send are "Hello" and "Equipment detected at:". Look, I have no grudge with you, I just did for the moment because I watched you give two free kills. If you're going to rank down, do it the old fashioned way, NPC or a mine.

Just to correct you, I was Lieu and he was Capt, so he would have been the better point route. And the fact he was spamming "BRB" with you, shows he was your friend. And, no, he wasn't doing it because he was "Omg" happy that you just gave him two free kills to get to Col.

And to correct you one last time, Sabrewolf would be an IRL friend of mine -- showed me the game years back. Naturally, since I'm back playing, he is also. Ok so my mistake if your not the guy people have been calling horrible, same I have no grudge with you. I was just trying to explain I have played on and off since early/mid 2000, and since then I have been told and knew that be right back ment somebody needed to fill. You thought other wise this is what caused the little riff between us, forget about it i'm bored here now and was doing so well with staying out of forum drama, although I caused it this time. Ha

I have connection issues guys, and through out the past month the game has been up, if any1 said be right back every1 left them be why they filled, same for when I said it. This guy was 3:1 shooting me why I waited for a move there for me not been able to pick up equip.

Hey I'm late to the party... but I feel compelled to weigh in. Mainly to ask, what was it about me that made me a "bad" back in the day? I may have q'ed low when I first started playing back in '98 but who doesn't? Once i connected to the BF community I stopped and matured out of the noobie side of the game. I will admit that I did take a FK to get a cup on Sabrewolf. I was in my younger teens, 14 or so and the only person who caused a scene was -SeVeR- who had control of my account, through hacking me, and threatened to delete my tanks. Anyway the age thing is not an excuse, but I must say that I've matured and would rather take the honorable route than have any shady business, it only breeds trouble anyway. Sabrewolf was my first tank, the PPH on it was horrible and I dare you to show me your very firs tank and tell me that you are as good as a seasoned player on it. I had over 500 hours on a tank, why trash it? I made a couple other tanks there were damn good. So past that I really would like to know what was so bad about me, so I can either confirm or put down these rumors, move on and play the game with a fresh start. It's been a decade. People need to calm down. Besides, no one here is perfect. If you have never done anything shady, please feel free to chastise me. I'll take it since you are not better than me. We're human and do stupid shit. Is the bigger man the one who complains and harbors ill-will towards another player, or is it the person who moves on and continues to enjoy this game forgiving the offender, especially if he doesn't do anything questionable again?

Okay, now that's out of the way. I'd like to throw in my two cents on this whole brb thing. Correct me if I am wrong, but this game is about war? Tanks, factions, battling... sounds very warlike to me. I'd be hard pressed to find evidence of mercy during a war time. After all "All's fair but Love and War" is a common cliché for a reason, am I wrong? I'm not arguing that what -ValadieX- did was right or not. I'm just saying that as your enemy I'm going to fire at you. You're my enemy it only makes sense. There's no "time out, dude I am not adequately equipped to fight you so can you stop attacking me so you that I can attack me on my terms?" in war scenarios. I'm sure most of you play some sort of First person shooter online and have been spawn killed. That sucks, been there done that. Does it happen? Yes, will it always happen? Yes. Why? Because it's a fricken war game. My objective is to kill you, not my fault you popped up in front of me, or don't have equipment to fight me. It's easy to not fire back and continue getting equipment. Most people do end up getting bored anyway. I know I do because it's annoying that someone expects you to stop attacking them because it's not fair. Raids are not fair either, so should I say brb because I don't have any friends/allies [equipment] to help me? No. Take it or run away.

I get the whole ethics thing. I respect good players. I normally do back off when told brb. -NavarieK-'s goal is pph. If I'm fighting you, I'm fighting to kill, but I won't cry about getting more shots off on you when you are a higher rank due to surviving instead of me deactivating you.

I've been reading this thread, and Have nothing against either of you (nor Do I know either of you),
but what's his name, If you were giving out Free Kills then why did you need to fill? (saying that the next free kill would of been for Valadiex)

This disagreement is old and finished but if you must know I was dieing down an with very few players playing I gave random kills to random people who I have seen take raids so I know the rank will be cycled back around and another player will rank off it legit, dieing to mines is a noob way out if every1 did this nobody would be able to rank. Look at crazy maze days when Billy's owned the map by mobbing if we died down we would randomly free kill a guy in map who takes raids so it went in a cycle and the ranks where not wasted honestly it's logic to do this unless your one of those who cares about the death medal I have even asked that mines cost 1 death also so people will have to stay high rank or take raids and die so others can rank up and down get what I mean?

The reason I would fill is so when I die I keep half my eq therefore I can get right back into battle rather than searching with low or no radars and other eq.

We play the same color on the field, though, we rarely ever play together -- or play in general. I did kill him in the one and only tournament we've played together, but that was with zero intention or chance to win. I had a 33-minute fill that tournament -- yes, 33 minutes -- and had zero chance of placing in that tournament. He was having troubles even staying in the map, and I needed a dual shot and extra radar refill, so I killed him. So, correct, your memory does not deceive you.
