Teachings Threads!!
Howdy fellas, this is a thread for you guys. This is not a dictator thread where whatever I teach goes and anyone who disagrees, we can't discuss, but I thought it a good idea to put a few posts up a week to teach on some aspects of the game that we can improve on and perhaps some that not too many people know. This way, implied unwritten rules can actually be taught on and discussed instead of argued about.

Alright first question: When your taking a raid and someone on the team's in desert with you, what should be the strategy of your teammate?
Let me preface myself by saying that for those of you who are not going to agree with my philosophy, I will listen, however if you're gonna get angry with me, relax...this is just my opinion. Alright so situation is that my boy scott is getting raided or gonna get raided and I come in desert. As some may argue that I should let scott fight his own battle, I'll be damned if imma sit by and let my guy get waxed by 8+ tanks. Six or less, I'll let him handle it, but if there's 7 or more beastly team tanks on him, you're darned right imma stick on him like glue. (keep in mind, it's only scott and myself). Now here's where it gets sticky, and there is a fine line between radaring for someone and taking a raid with someone. In my opinion, if i'm the guy providing assistance, I do not simply go ahead of the raid and radar for the guy, this is not only a waste of radar cause i'm not even gettin pts, it would make the guy taking the raid not feel like he took it as well, and it's also dishonorable (i'm gonna use that a lot in these teachings what's the honorable and dishonorable thing to do). I may do it once, maybe twice if he gets into serious shit, but my whole goal is to fight back with him as much as possible. Tele when he teles, stay on his butt like white on rice, shoot the guy that he shoots, cause you never know when they're gonna screw up and come in low, could get a kill. That in my opinion is the honorable way to help a teammate out in a raid. Also, by chance that my buddy goes down fighting, I do not run to fill, I, do not one shot, tele, hop...I continue to take the raid as I normally would, no matter how much eq I have left. 90% of the time I'm going to get targeted anywaym but if the other team allows me to fill, then i'll take the opportunity. On the flip side if we both survive, then we've accomplished our mission.

I dont see any problem with that. The only thing that would get me a little irritated is the radaring which you said you dont like but I dont think it should happen at all.

If what you mean just going ahead of the raid and radaring and then just watch for your guy to hop on the fuel the go to the next screen then yah that's not the way to fight imo.
