I have created a new team called the spacefruits. Hopefully you will see us around as we grow bigger, as we are in our infancy as of tonight. We will try to play with the same respect for everyone and the same honor I display as I play DiviNe. I will enforce the taking of all raids and respecting of players who take long/difficult raids by ensuring that they be given a chance to fill if we feel they've earned a filling break. Thank you for your time and I hope we can all co-exist and enjoy the game together. If you wish to join you must be approved by EVERYBODY on the current team.

we can't control people flipping to our color when they see us start coming in numbers into the map. it is a hazard of team play and every team has had to deal with it and will always have to deal with it. I'm sorry it turned into a mob, but it simply isn't our fault and can't be controlled. it is up to every other non purple to band together at that point and single us out as targets. you did well though, I applaud your effort and salute your bravery, thank you for making our first big raid a fun one.

we only had 7. just be glad it is desert, a map suited for these kinds of mobs.

Active teams have shown time and time again that all they bring is bigger more organized mobs. The only extra activity they yield is for the players mobbing.

Less teams imo. At least in the sense of traditional teams. If you are gonna start a team I suggest having 6 players max, never re recruit (or at least very very rarely) and never organize raids outside of the in game chat.

Sticking every other active player on a team and using them to get easy ranks and feel powerful will hurt the game far more than it will ever help.

You can have a larger roster via only ever raiding with 6 people, ( personally i like raiding with 5 tops, unless its in the condition were taking down another mob who tends to form with the whole map against us, sometimes 2 teams at once l o l z. )

Also teams I feel should have alternate colors in the case that the hivemind divebombs on one color to which you switch to take out the tags and giving other colors a chance to regroup and form a potentially even color battle.

Unfortunately it seems these days teams throw out quality for quantity, no ones taking test raids like it used to be done in the past, its more or less who we can suck in and just fill out the rosters to 50 people the fastest then never even raid.

Even though most AOW members have put in extreme hours on their tanks, being their choice, as well as my own, I'd still prefer to see more and more solo tanks just playing out there. I think the allure of building a rep on a solo tank might seem like a chore when its easier to have team members on the ready.

aows get the pass. all the current/previous teams can get the pass. its not like theres massive aow/transformer/element/snake/bf mobs forming. All of us could have continued to recruit whoever was active to keep raiding and feeling dominant. The point is, we all have our own 'core'. BFs with tankpit started with a ten man, right now I only consider the team to have 4 members. AOWs have a core of some really active, essentially solo players. I dont see aow raiding much, meaning im sure someones not int he chat calling targets. elements/trans/snakes same thing. Were essentially solo squads. but now other people of course will want to start their own team, and instantly they think 10-15 members is needed. Its terrible. I feel like if teams maxed out at 5, and you couldnt re recruit, it would make it more sacred and prestigious. Makes you think twice about who you want to start a team with, the theme, the gameplan etc.

an example would be the space fruits, theyre not active at all (thank god) but a roster of this size for a new team (meaning all the players on the team are current players) spells disaster for the activity of the game. Take over half those players and throw them on a different colored team, exclude any outer communication into the decision making in game and the dynamic completely changes from bigger one sided mobs to potential fun mini battles.

if the game cold always have even numbers, whether that be 10, 10, 10 ,10 or 1, 1, 1, 1, would you guys prefer the game? Does anyone here actually enjoy the huge one sided mobs that form? Or would everyone rather always have even numbers, meaning logistically no one color is at an advantage, and raids could still form and counter freely.

unfortunately as nice as Jordan's ideals of a perfect tankpit sounds, it's an impossibility. the game will always flop to a one sided color no matter what as long as it exists.

the problem is simply everybody goes to the dominant color, with very little to players brave enough to go in in numbers and take on the "color flippers"

teams worked fine in desert of battlefield. right now there's simply not enough active players with the old school values of desert to support more than one team efficiently in tankpit. and there probably never will be.

the only way Jordan's ideal tankpit would work is if everyone was thrown in as the least dominant color, so there's always an even amount, like tournaments are set up. I personally wouldn't mind this as I don't really care what color I am, I just want to fight. there should be a second map dedicated to this though. but sunwolf won't support our ideas, so again, it's an impossibility.

I really enjoy riding/dying with red and have fun whether I have numbers in my favor or not. That being said, I do prefer when I'm facing mobs that form organically in the game as opposed to the coordinated activity of organized teams. But that's just my opinion, obviously teams have always and will continue to be a part of this game. I agree that it would e best with about 5 people on a given team in at one time.
