All of you who consider yourselves good at battlefield i have a serious question. How in gods name can you consider yourselves good? Technically a person can come in as a recruit at 8 am and be just as good as you by 11 am... There are 3 things in Battlefield that make you good...
1. Equipment: you are better than someone of the same rank if you have more equipment than them.
2. Honor: if you dont quit low then your better than someone who does. Something that a first time player doesnt need because they dont know about number or rankings.
3. technique: this is just the way you play. Being it mining fuel, making bases, hiding ferries, or only turning armour on when you need it, ect....

Also on any map being top 100 or top 50 simply means FBing with someone or one heck of a lot of work. And in no way determines skill unless u make top 10 which means u either got too much time on your hands or you fake for 10000 straight hours.(these things i consider exceptable on D6, Iceland, or Apps cause they are dead maps.

So all you players who think your good just no someone who starts 10 minutes ago can be just as good as u... and also since im gunna get flamed like nothing else just no i dont care what the BF comunity thinks of me because whenever someone posts their opinions like i have just done here they get flamed. And know i am insulting no one in general.

Well there is so much wrong with that I'm just going to stick with what comes to mind immediately.

No being top25 or top10 doesnt mean you are good. No one says that if you are top 10 you are good. (obvious ex. redneck)

And I'll just be blatant. No one playing for 10 minutes will be as good as me, or anyone that considers themselves good. LOL. You have been playing how long? Do you consider yourself as good as anyone in this game?

im not "good" at this game im moderate. in fact i still think i suck compared to these other people. you cant be good at this game in 10 mins. it takes time to learn how to take a raid, how to give a raid, an how to pph without having to take the time to fill every 5 mins.. everybody has room for improvement in this game (cept the obvious ones)((ex. anybody on teams like illuzionz or aliens has no room or little room for improvement)). but i can tell you one thing...you are not "good" at this game. im not tryin ta be mean or anything but....u just aint that good. you ql, you run from raids, you run from 1v1's =\. and you've been playing how long? you are a prime counter example for what you just said based on facts not me bein a dick. =\

hey i didnt say i was good. and you all make some good points i'll admit. Really the people this is aimed to are people who go around saying that they own all... And tankdemolisher usually when you try to fight me its not a 1 v 1 as you said, usually u bring a couple generals with you. And if im in the game im using duals on anything im shooting so if i run off its to get equiptment. Im sorry but your not good enough to make me run in a 1 v 1...sorry man

ahahhahahhaa. i dont need anybody ta fight you. i remember a while back when i was fightin u after u killed me due to my computer freezin back when i was on a 98 computer wit dial up (i laugh at that) u ran away from me quit out and came in on a tank that said "stopcheatingnoob" and never came back. i would love for you ta go in ice wit me 1v1 w/o runnin one time if you dont run then i'll believe you.

um i think ur thinking of someone else cause 1st i dont call people noobs cause i just recently started playing again after a huge break(like 5 monthes only coming back to keep tanks there) and i am aparently a noob again cause all this FBing and faking is new to me...actually i was playing when guests could hold ranks and awards(i couldnt register) but anyways thats beside the point, and also i have never killed you. i will admit that, so get ur facts straight for you open you mouth and send a buncha false crap out.

im not even insulting your playing ok? I have not once said you need someone to be with you the point is usually, whether by chance or w/e there is a gen or colonel and once we start fighting that person comes over and before u say "thats part of the game" i know it is. But you can hardly expect me to stand and fight both of you and get my a$$ kicked, and not run to find fuel. And also as for running to water if im being chased and i need fuel and theres a ferry sitting there of course im going for it... your kinda dumb if you dont.

Try winning a tournament.... try taking a 10+ mob... try getting 95k of pphing in 1 hr... if you can do all these things thats what makes u "good"... some people win tournaments more then others... some people can take a better mob and last longer in a 10+ mob... some people can actually do over 100k of pphing in 1 hr... thats what makes u more then good and im pretty sure u cant do any of the things i have said... thats why your at the bottom of the list of whos good and whos not. Find me someone who can play for 1 whole day and win tournaments.. and take a 10+ mob ... and can pp like no other... come on. Maybe u should think before u talk cuz that was just dumb... sorry i dont mean to be mean about it but thats just an idiotic post.

I admit that essentially anyone can become nearly as good as me if they practice a shit ton. But in 3 hrs? rofl ur kidding urself. Ur whole statement just makes me think of redneck, dominator 194, and the other 500 kids I've sniped the shit out of in ice...and even tho u unload 150 duals to their 5 they still say WYD? WYD? is that the best you can do? as they move from fuel to fuel on their ferry....lmfao

what makes you good: lefty edition
1)being able to cup your own tanks, without cheating
2)being able to take raids, not just raid people(dont be a bitch like duc)
3)teleport selection and execution...do you misclick a lot? tele to fake fuels? ur a fucking noob....
4)awareness, wheres all the fuel and eq at? where are all the other tanks that are playing...what are they doing...
5)talent...learn how your enemy is playing and match it to avoid time spent doing nothing... i.g. some people tele way b4 being dark...some ppl like to fill as they go others fill all at once etc....

theres clearly a lot more to this game than you take on in your perspective SF, being 'good' was a more clear cut thing before DTT because the game was much slower and mistakes meant death. Now u can just instant teleport and ur home free...even still I take raids almost every time I come on battlefield and I rarely die...be it 4v1, 5v1, 9v1 w/e and I see tons of other people getting raped 2v1 and 3v1...

lets c....first off have you ever even fought me? acording to your info ur main map is desert. Second i think i found one person who this post is directed to. Cause you think ur good as hell and lets face it ur not. And if you still think u r well congrats, you got skillz at a 2d tank game where skill is considered "not running" and the second you hit that Q button you go back to your boring life of being a huge nerd with no friends crusher.VICIOUS. Dont repost i've said what i wanted to. The point of this thread was for the "best of BF" to realize that your just as good as anyone else.

I dont play this game too much... i have a life i have a kid that i raise. Yes I do think im one of the best in this game and your not even half of what I am and just lookin at your tanks that your so proud about in your sig makes me laugh. Your still a noob and when u gain expierence and your not a noob anymore then u can talk about how good u r but your not... you wanna post something so fuckin stupid and think people arent gonna say anything back your wrong. ok let me just give you an example.

i told my friend chrisko about this game about 2 years ago.

he played the game for 5 hrs and never made it past serg in desert.

i, on the other hand, made it all the way up to maj with 300k+ points in teh same amount of time all the while taking raids (decent sized for site) and raiding as well.

but according to your theory, he was just as good as me... yeap. really rational.

how about you use logic instead of just blurting out any piece of shit that comes to your head?

what's next? "anyone can be as good a general as napoleon or belisarus as long as they have at least 1 hour of experience commanding an army"?

According to all my time in Ice, this is what makes you good:

1. Be able to get decent pph when you want.
2. Be able to play on land nearly all the time.
3. Be able to play even when land is dry.
4. Be able to fill-fight for the most part
5. Be able to take 2-3v1s all the time and for points sometimes
6. Be able to predict moves

Things that don't really mean anything to me:

Winning tournys - with time, anyone can win one. I owned Ice up and down before I won a tourny. I took 5v1s vs WiKiDs before I won a tourny. All it does it take practice to win tournys. Play them all the time and you'll be able to get one. Also, people cheat in them all the time and winning legit is even harder now because of all the cheaters.

Taking mobs - a skill yes, but I think taking a 5v1 in Ice is harder than taking 10 in des or rox. Its all about if and when you lag rather than everything running smoothly and owning it. I've been in plenty of raids in bigger maps and usually it is lag that gets me killed. I guess dealing with it is part of the skill but still, lag is lag and you never know how bad it will be.

Yeah u can still be good and not be great at tournies... but it does have alot to do with you knowing how to pph. Winning fairly is the only way your even considered good at tournies. Also, yes it depends where you are because a 5 vs 1 in iceland is basically a mob. Sorry for flipping out but u know i just thought it wasnt that smart to post something like that. For an example... you have a choice to pick up Michael Jordan or John Starks.. your tellin me it really doesnt matter who gets chosen? You know because both of them know how to shoot the ball and they both know how to dribble... but if u break it down, how much better can MJ shoot then John Starks?

Im sorry, but someone who just started 10mins ago is not going to play as good as someone that has played for a couple years. You wont know when the best possible time to tele low is in each map, each map is dif size, has dif fuel levels, so you have to tele at dif moments.
There is also a thing called fill fighting, which is done 1-1, but the point is the fight each other for points and never run out of equipment. I have done this in ice for 2 hours straight once.
After a while youll notice where equip spawns the most(new person would think it to be random).
Being top 100 isnt anything, doesnt require any work, being top 50 requires some work but is still not that hard. T25+ requires alot of work and(or) fbing to achieve, although redneck gained it by killing red-1 ten million times and having 3k hours in the map.
How you play in general is a thing you have listed, but its more than just not qlowing, any seasoned player does not do this, but there is also running across the map from a player wanting to fight, not taking a raid, just plain quitting on a person for no reason.. imo these can be more annoying than qlowing, because a qlow can be avenged when he re-enters, but someone who is running and refusing to fight? Ya they are not going to die...and that is more annoying imo...
To be good, you simply have to play a while, watch and learn some things, and experiment with yourself. You would be surprised how much I learned fill fighting sean in rox 1-1, I learned his movements, when to shoot, when to move, when to fill, just took time....cant be done in 10 mins
