How hard is it to play on desert actually?
I was up and around bf seeing people taking raids and stuff. It's hard to survive on that map. And hard to find a decent spot to refeul and rearm yourself.
I will become the best.

I would imagine it would depend on your skill level. Then again, there is no water on the map ( meaning no chance to run and stay a-float ) and fuel is hard to find unless you know areas where fuel is spawned alot.
Desert may be one of the hard(er) maps around, but I mean, really... if you're a good enough player, it's not any different than any other map. Atleast not in my opioin. If you're moving from a map like Appolossa Land, then it's a definite change in atmosphere, other than that, I don't see why you couldn't play regular.

I agree with what he stated in this first little paragraph. Staying alive comes from watching where people have been at on the map. If someone just took a raid in the TR (top right) corner of the map, chances are there isn't much fuel left up there, so your best bet is to go maybe BR (bottom right) or BL (bottom left). It's all about knowing the re-spawns.
As for Desert being one of the harder maps, I must disagree. If you feel that Desert is hard then you would never cut it in a map like Apps, Iceland, or Maze even. And when I state these maps I mean playing on land. In Desert you have the capability of taking an 11+ man raid and living. The equivalent to that in Apps and Iceland is like 7-8. People who come from Apps and Iceland usually rape Desert right off the bat because they are used to REALLY knowing their surroundings (i.e. fuel, mines, places the mob has been), and then they come to Desert and it seems like a damn gold mine of fuel.

^ Agreed.
While it may be harder to 'survive' in Desert, that is only due to the fact that it is the most active map. Rocks has always seem to had far less fuel than Desert imo, so if the amount of people that played Desert were active in Rocks, good luck surviving in there.

desert is the wettest map i think?
also has little water, so most of the fuel stays on land.
its only the hardest because its the most active... besides that its the easiest.

Hmm... Those sound like some intruiging opinions. On the other maps, I'm either a leiu. or capt. I'm getting better the more I play.

Fair enough. I noticed you have a Rusty on a tank of yours, as apose to my Battered. I would imagine you have more knowledge of maps and more or so likely the entire game itself, now I don't know that for sure, I'm just assuming. -- besides, I'm "map ignorant", I guess you could say. I really only play 1 map, or only play(ed) one map. So regardless I only know Desert in-side and out.

In my opinion its has to be that its hard to fight without get raided ...Mostly when i am in des i wanna drop my # ..Obviously people want to get kills even tho theyre usually major or higher . I think people should settle down with the raiding. And yes it is hard to survive ..Always getting raided ..In des now ..Its basically impossible not to get a death metal unless you can take 15 on 1's and live.

I have played in three maps mainly which are ice(as hardy), cas(as azn) and des which is my main map and I played rox as well as a phobia...Des is actually the easier map being the high level of fuel and ice being one of the harder maps since it has alot of water and at times very low amounts of fuel on land...Yet, each helps you in different skills...In a map like des you will elarn to become a better raider and how to be more organize in a raid while in ice your raid taking skills will become even better with low level of fuel on land...For example in des the person you are raidin has alot mroe fuel to tele to and you have to predict alot better and also you learn to take out the surroundin fuels. After awhile it becomes instinct in des and that's why I always found it easier to raid in other maps because there is such a low level of fuel you can worry less about the surrounding fuels or radarin or mining...Eventually in a map like ice or even cas the person you are raidn is goin to die if you are raidin with an average group...Get what I'm saying?

5-6 depending who it is.
And yes Desert is easier to survive to a point. If you don't get a shit load of people on you, its cake. If you do, it all about how quick you are and when/if you lag, how bad it is and if you can still get away.
^^^ Main reason I've never been a big fan of huge raids... All about lag it seems like to me.
