raid taking
took it from DBZ
i was just searching through my documents n i found it
______________________________________________________________
First lets discuss hand positioning. With all dtts having instant map, I prefer to have my left pinky on the "1" key, my first finger on the "f" key, and my thumb on the "space bar." i use the space bar for firing, instead of right click.... it simply feels smoother...
When using the mouse, most people, from my experience, move their mouse around TOO fast when taking a raid...
when raiding someone else, your on the reaction side of things, and x5 favors the raidIE since they can tele before the zoom, while the raiders need to wait for the zoom to see where the raidIE went...
so when raidING you have to move the mouse quickly
But when i take raids my goal is to move my mouse as SLOW as possible... slow and SMOOTH... Find the SLOWEST possible pace in which you can move the mouse without getting hit with an extra round of duels will help more than you know...
This will help with anyone's accuracy... especially if you ever gets nervous during the raid...
Remember... slow and smooth... my mouse literally crawls across the screen, as fluidly as possible...
little things make a big difference...
other little things i can mention, that some people do....
1. always make small tele's, never more than two screens... it doesn't waste fuel, and you can always get to the fuel that was 5 screens away preradared if it doesn't work out...
2. if you are teleing around land and radar and there is no fuel, you should STILL SHOOT AT LEAST ONE SHOOT, if not twice, even if your really low on fuel... before teleporting again...
why? well first off if your in a 5/6v1 only 1-2 will be fast... you will land you can usually get a radar off first, they will mine and radar second/third , you get at least one shot off while they do that (with armor on, since your fuel is low)... at this point the other raiders appear, but since there is no fuel on the screen several of them will radar or mine as well... and even if they don't, by that time you've tele's to a new screen...
3. if you radar a fuel and its high (700+) but someone lands on one side of the fuel... i still try to tele to that fuel on the opposite side of the person, if the placement of the fuel puts most of the raiders off my screen...
either, the fuel wasn't radared for that person, and you get it all... or the fuel was radared, but they didn't use it ALL, so you fill a little... you get to shoot the person on the other side of the fuel while all the other raiders are trying to tele over to you... then you go...
there is nothing wrong with shooting once and teleporting... if your doing it, on really low fuel...
it burns minamal armors... keeps you aggressive, shooting as much as possible, ever tele if possible, and the fact that the raiders have to radar and mine, and react to you, makes it unlikely that they'd all ever get a round of duels on you...
now when you do fill to at least half full (or more) 2-5 shots should be givin.... but its important to follow the shot pattern so you know when its YOUR turn...
often people say they're armors didn't kick in, when in reality they tried turning them on a turn to late, and everyone ends up getting a shot on your before the armor kicks in...
With castles... areas become soaked. If your in a castles that seems to have a lot of fuel, odds are the entire castles has a lot of fuel... try staying in one castles as long as possible...
If you feel your tele's are getting raped (which doesn't bother good raid takers, just makes it more fun, especially if you still empty) EVERY now and then (NOT A LOT) completely change your shoot number before a tele...
and good raid is measuring around how dark you like to get, and how many shots would shoot.... i personaly don't mind if people know how many shoots i'm gonna shoot, cause i can recover fine... but if your having trouble recoving... count the number of shoots you shot... then everynow and then count the number in half... just to break the raidERS rhythm
little things.... will add more later... too tired
if you have any time to preradar... DON'T preradar an area... instead preradar in one specific direction
try to preradar a path that takes you to the mob/team...
then as your taking the raid, go back over that specific path...
often i see people preradar a big patch of land... no need... you know that as soon as you land in any part of that patch, the raiders will take all the fuel around that area...
