I seriously think if it took more deaths to receive the death medals people would play against the odds more often. its no secret almost everyone wants to keep a certain death medal, or more likely dislike the heroic honor medal. unlike the tank medals its almost impossible to avoid the death medals if youre playing actively. an increase would allow players to take more raids and gain more deaths but still keep the awards they prefer for a little while longer. Make it more even with the tank medals.

Id suggest the best numbers to be

50 -
100 -
200 -

this would also deter people from purposely getting death medals since it would take a bit longer to die that many times. imo works out for the best longterm.

also increasing the tank medals to

200 -
500 -
1000 -

would help as well.

right now it takes less than 20 hours to get this



than after that its 80+ hours to , 180+ to and 480+ to this

with 3 months between specials being handed out, and the likelyhood that it could take multiple tries to even maybe win a special its safe to say most people will only have the swords and number to look forward to.

I agree. There needs to be either (1) harder or (2) more numerous/various "in-game" achievements to strive for. Higher # req's are one easy way to solve this without having to introduce new awards but I think that's just the tip of the iceberg, honestly.

The newbs get because in their eye's, it shows they been around for awhile, and honor. Its just a frame of mind. Don't really see the purpose behind the idea...


I think it would benefit the game better if new death medals, and tank awards were added:

Platinum: 200 Deaths; 1,500 Kills
Diamond: 500 Deaths; 5,000 Kills

Just have to make them appeal to the community.

I also think there should be a special award for the person with the most deaths, and one for the most kills, and the most hours.

Here is a rendition I did. Now I used the idea of the 4 and 5 stars from utanks, because one it was a good idea regardless of where it came from, and two, it fit in well.



I got the platinum series tank under the gold with a new design for what would be a 200 death medal, id suggest calling the Valor death medal. I was drawing a blank when it came to the 500/ crystal level death medal.

I think the platinum tank came out nicely, the medal eh. the crystal tank was getting hard to do, seeing as I use xp paint for all my artwork. Also if someone with some better software would like to do the cups, n such.

I also threw in the golden sword for 1000 hours, and crystal for 2000?

There will be leader boards for these things eventually, at least.

I picture this being abused, at least the most deaths one. Medal would most likely belong to Guest or someone else who just leaves tanks in game. Not really worthy of any special medal. Kills and hours on the other hand is a good idea. Unfortunately for some, these awards will simply be unattainable, which could be a little discouraging, but after all that is the point. A sole player can only possess the medal, by putting your mind to it anyone could achieve it.

I like some of them. Not sure exactly how you would achieve these new cups...? Obviously you can't start handing out cups for 4th and 5th place, so it would boil down to winning Gold twice on one tank, which I am not a fan of either honestly.

I do think we need the Bronze and Silver DoT or Bronze and Silver Shield as I like to call it. It's one of the only medals you cannot achieve 3 versions of currently. Obviously Purple Heart is out of the question, can't really change the color on that one without ruining it, same goes for Lightbulb. War Correspondent could have altered colors for 3 versions ,but you have to come up with some new contest, so I'm not for that either.

I have already brought this idea up before for Bronze/Silver Shield and submitted it, but I suggested being able to achieve these awards by donating. $3/month for Bronze, $5/month for Silver or whatever number is fair. 1 per account/player. As long as you are currently donating, you keep the award. You stop donating the next month and the award will be rescinded until you begin donating again. Basically it let's players know you are supporting TankPit through donations, which I think is worthy of an award. This could be beneficial for noobs knowing that they can attain a really cool award very quickly by donating a small amount. Obviously one flaw is not being able to put this award on a tank that already has a DoT and the fact that although the 3 awards are the same design, you do not achieve them all in the same way, which is a change of pace for this game. Also, some may donate one month and not donate the next month, gaining and losing the award constantly which I know some people do not like, but like I said, it's just to show you are a CURRENT donater.

Some may not like this idea, saying everyone will have those medals. But everybody has Triple Stars too, I just really like those medals and I think the game could use something new to look at, it could bring in more old players again who always dreamed of those medals during BF days when they saw someone like Prism around. Really though, what is holding us back from implementing those medals? The game is much different now than the original version, but still keeps the core gameplay around which is what we all enjoy. Adding a couple of new medals that are already designed for us wouldn't take anything away from the game.

Like this idea, couple of other things to shoot for to be number one at other than just your number.

i think silver and bronze dots would work better with leaderboards. Maybe finish top 3 in a specific leaderboard in one month awards you bronze. finish top 3 in any two specific leaderboards in one month awards you a silver. Can't stockpile these so after you get silver theres no other way to win a leaderboard and transfer the sot to another tank. Meaning that in order for people to win multiples of this award theyd have to create new tanks and compete in the leaderboard. Most players with one or two active tanks will stick to those tanks and most likely snag some top 3 finishes to null the award.

The tier 1 leaderboards that qualify could be points, real player kills (meaning capt and up) and real player time (stipulations could be added privately to determine if a tank is idling or playing. Would be best if these numbers varied or changes requirements every hour so someone cant get the minimum real player time.)

Id suggest those as a base with these tier 2 leaderboards qualifying for the 2nd required for the silver shield

Mines destroyed, overall kills (bots included), Most enemy shots incurred (more time spent taking raids means more shots incurred), most tournament wins (ccid wide), Most deaths against 3 players or more (promotes playing against the odds, requirements can be captain+)

Id also suggest a bronze dot award if a player can finish top 3 in 3 of the tier 2 leaderboards. as that leaderboard caters more towards the type of player who doesnt put in enough time to win the tier 1 leaderboards, but takes lots of raids and plays lots of tournaments etc. theyd have a chance to win without playing 8 hours a day by taking lots of raids (promote game health) and doing other tedious things like destroying all the mines.



The idea would be to instead of promoting activity via giving everyone the award, but promote activity by forcing people to come back and play more often and in different but much needed playstyles that benefit the games environment. then, after a month if youve played hard enough you may have won the bronze or silver shield.


with these numbers there could be no more than 9 shields awarded in one month. Its far more likely people finish top 3 in multiple categories and after 1 month win the award and continue to just voiding whatever future shield would have taken its place.

the award would stay rare, but a much attainable rare that requires some time and extra effort.

dont get me wrong though. even though im neutral on your idea i wouldnt mind if it was implemented. this is just my perspective as a person who quit and is looking for any reason to return and something like this wouldnt make me return. this game needs a huge change to make it appealing to those who quit

Awards motivate me to play. So I guess I just proved my point.

Anyways, it's just an idea to would help benefit the games climate as well as the players.

the main reason I played bf back in the day was to gain awards tbh

Maybe not to jaded old players who have won them all already, but I'm pretty sure everyone has been motivated to play for awards at least at some point.

on that note then add 100 different awards if you truly believe that. reverse psychology rape.

Awards fucking own. I mainly play for awards, more so swords/specials and to pass niggaz. But getting awards is what keeps me going to pass niggaz. And being an award whore also give's me needed motivation to keep playing, to pass niggaz! 1 or 2 new shield awards would give me even more motivation to come back and beast the game and win what ever leader-boards or what ever they are awarded for. But I've always went HAM for awards since Battlefield. Since BF Sean987 was my motivation to fill my ccid with swords and awards. So since then I've gotten 20+ swords. I've always made tanks got shiny and nice awards then started a new one and got shiny/battys/awards and I passed even more niggaz! So what im trying to say is: awards is what its all about, and passing more niggaz!

i dont care about the lightbulb. I dont care about winning any more specials. im just throwing out legit ideas that would benefit the game. if you could win the bronze and silver dot by playing alot in a fashion to makes the game more enjoyable for more players why not atleast give it some solid thought. we have two new, amazingly desired awards at our expense and theyre not being utilized. doing it the right way could potentially boost the current activity which in turn breeds more activity. something to think about. shit, even making it so every 100,000th equipment picked up rewards the bronze/silver would boost activity. imagine randomly being awarded a special? not to mention the quickest way to get equipment is use equipment aka playing.

again just some things to think about.
