IDEA SUBMITTED: TankPit Ticker

The following is an idea which I have submitted for consideration:




I propose a very simple yet practical and useful improvement for the tankpit.com homepage/website:

An automatically updating, scrolling "ticker" displaying up-to-the-minute stats, updates, and information regarding everything TankPit.

This ticker could be located at the top or bottom of the website and would emulate modern-day sports and newscast tickers in its general operation - scrolling intermittently through topics of interest. These could include but would not be limited to: Player stats (recent awards, deactivations, promotions, etc.), Tournament results, upcoming tournament details, site news & updates, recently active players - the possibilities are endless.

Messages from the administration team could be broadcast across the ticker...Even new player welcomes or player birthdays could be announced as a way of improving individual focus and perhaps encouraging more new users to join and, more importantly, keep coming back.

This could also be a simple yet effective way to recognize daily, weekly, monthly leaders in certain gameplay categories without having to change any of the game's current features or statistics. By scrolling, let's say, the day's top PPHers in the "DAILY LEADER" category, these players could receive recognition throughout the game.

Most importantly: with this ticker residing on the tankpit.com site, I believe traffic would most definitely be increased by current users while also giving them additional incentive to remain active. Additionally, it would show perspective or new users that their achievements would not go unnoticed, encouraging recidivism.

My "TankPit Ticker" would be a simple implementation that would not alter gameplay or current features whatsoever while adding something both useful and encouraging to users.
