MINES/RANKS
what if each rank had only a limited amount of mines they can place at once?
right now every rank across the board drops a 3x3 for a total of 9 mines. how about we diminish the amount that each specific rank lays at once and allow ONLY the 2 highest ranks to drop 3x3? the other lower ranks should be less powerful in the mine laying department. adds slightly more strategy to raiding and arguably makes deactivating someone (including noobs) more difficult. right now players of EVERY rank just randomly click on the target, land within 3 spaces of a target, drop mines and they're in business. implementing this would make raiding a target require more precision and thought and eliminate the mindless mining that goes on during raids.
just like so:

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
an extension of this idea: each rank gets 1 less mine at their disposal than the rank above
amount of mines per rank:
general=9
colonel=8
major=7
captain=6
lieut=5
serg=4
corporal=3
private=2
recruit=1
players can then go to settings and customize how they want their mines to drop for each specific rank when planted. example: serg has 4 mines available, player goes into settings and customizes how they want these mines to be planted when in game. whether they want 1 in every corner, 3 across the top and one in bottom right corner, etc etc etc. this gives players options and maybe something to adjust, perfect and play around with.
(i'm more of an advocate of this idea than the former, and although it would be a lot more difficult to implement on sw's part, i think it would make raiding and raid taking a whole lot more exciting and challenging. most raid connoisseurs would agree with this)

Why nerf mines? They already suck enough ass as it is. I figured this would be the commonly recommended buff where number of mines placed increases with rank, not the opposite .

Only thing that should change about mines is that they cause you a death on your tank, that way we dont have shitheads dying to them to preserve death medals.

Pretty cool idea, but probably not very practical, and adds unnecessary complexity to something so simple.
