Aight first off, myself and some others have expressed how it's always cool to see peoples first person views of taking raids, and that it needs its own specific thread. Cause watching someone else take becomes it's own thriller that everyone can experience.

The main idea is for newer players to see these in one section, and potentially learn something. Secondary is this thread being another form of showing the community your chops and how you go about taking a raid with constructive criticism being welcomed in the comments.

We've had a vaguely similar thread ( Icys Raid compendium) but that was an overall view of his daily life in TP. This is for anyone and everyone to post their own raid takes, not raiding other people. TBH I think both this and Icys thread should remain separate, but compliment each other.

4-6v1 all purple. It looks somewhat organized. Field is not radared for you for the most part.

Wow that really impressive. You got crazy low, 1-2 shot from death, a few times. Only a couple of mistakes of getting the wrong fuel. You shot even when you were only half full after a tele, which almost no one does including myself. And I was on my seat at ~4:36 mark, boy you radared just in time lol. That was really fun to watch overall, GJ Kirby!

Comments: A lot of mistakes and just dumb moves. Not really a take take imo based on the odd numbers and appearances. Tried to make it as interesting as i could for myself. Was still fun regardless. Best viewed on chrome, and I havent figured out how to put in game sounds so i dropped music to make it watchable instead of silence. Might just keep it classic with future vids with music in the back anyways.

2-4 enemies on you at a time, all look like adequate raiders. The area you started at looks like it has yet to be radared. There also appeared to be some fake fuel along with "premines". Then you got fucked with a lot more "premines" at da end.

Take: 4/10
You definitely got pretty low, but made way too many mistakes. Missed most of da fuel on your teleports as well as driving to fake fuels before radaring. You missed da fuel on a few tele's on da same screen which hurt. You also mined a couple of times when you didn't need to.

The goal here is to hopefully spark more people to contribute. This wasn't my sole idea, but rather a collective to bring it back. I'm willing to bet the main reasons some "reputable" players won't record cause they don't want people to really see the weak takes they pull on purpose cause they aim to survive at all costs, or will just upload selectively, if at all.

I'd like for people to have fun and just post regardless of good or bad takes, but there's probably some egos at stake here.

Thanks for the crit btw, you scored me higher than I did myself haha. I haven't seen much raid activity since 2 nights ago, hoping that changes so i can record some more soon.

Ima try to video a raid take, but seeing as I don't play often, it may be hard. Plus I am uncertain how it will affect my speed n such.

ya never mind. I tried videoing while i was playing, my ping quadrupled the second i turned the recording software on, it over heated my computer, and i got the blue screen of death upon reboot lol. Had to re-reboot.

Well last night lads, I got a lifetime code for Camtasia 8 Recorder. I seen the purples were just raiding, so I was like ima go test out this recorder to see what the quality is like. So I entered the map and spammed for the purples to raid me. And since everything was fake I got absolutely raped. And I hit a big lagg spike at the beginning and went from 55 armours to 29 from the one tele.

Comments: Someone had already filled and revealed a ton of fuel top right so I was pleased to find that most of it was real which was pretty much key in this take. Some early mistakes that burnt my armors pretty damn quickly which lead to some conservative teleports at times just based on me knowing what causes me to lag and how many shots I can take in certain situations before fucking myself over. I don't like to be around bots at all when i take so that screen i definitely wanted out of if i can help it. Managed to empty and then some firing off singles for quite some time, seems people really love to take advantage of the fact i dont call BRB. Bring it.

Oh and my last teleport was a facepalm.

Heat of the moment But thanks for pointing that out hahaha, something i should think about. Although i do like going till death or they give up, but sometimes filling from like 5 ers is rather strenuous

people taking raids till they die/no ers is setting a bad standard for everyone else, considering mob mentality is gonna carry over and theyre gonna be expecting everyone else to die or itll be considered unworthy.

I tell kyle this also, just take your fill. set the trend, couple screens shooting singles then go fill. dont even ask or wait for them to let you. Gives purpose to taking raids, empty and survive. makes playing against the odds not feel so impossible, and helps preserve ranks for counter raids to naturally form via people not dying and quitting.

either way good take, was actually impressive seeing you get as low as you did at some teleports. good quality video also.

Jesus dude watching you is like watching SH compared to how my shit responds. 6 mins in the video and you still had 40 shields on screens i thought you were getting them tossed. Wish my shit was that responsive. Solid take regardless in probably one of the worst / the worst map for taking.

Starts getting more interesting @ 3:30. How I take any amount of raiders, my timing has to near flawless with how slow my connection can be or I'll get destroyed. As you can see at the very end I mis-timed turning on shields by a split second and went insufficient.
