Because there was a lot of off topic flaming and the section mods were too busy jumping on the bandwagon to do anything so Jordan did something about it.

Partially true. The second thread was created to stop the gray lines between discussing the props/call outs and the flaming. It made everything black and white. Not fair to really point jabs at the mods when the lines were blurred to begin with.

Jordan's new idea fixed that but that's not the point.

The point is that much of the community fails at this whole props/call out concept almost entirely.

The threads succeed if people realize this is just a casual thing and actively participate. Otherwise, butthurtness and dick riding ensue and that's what we all get to read about whenever we click on this section.

I truthfully have to finally come out with this.. I like this guy.. He is fucking hilarious if you actually read a quarter of his posts. In about 91.663% of his posts youll see an imaginary percentage brought in... Usually ends in .3 lol. He is constantly saying things that make him seem intelligent.. And all I get from it are chuckles and smiles. He truly believes he takes these "magical raids"... Love it.

Anyways, Seany boy. I feel you, the props thread is just stupid, we should just make a discussion thread solo thread, and everyone should just learn not to bitch about not getting their rep or getting it... Like the discussion thread gives you exactly what you faggots need... ROOM TO DISCUSS.

When someone takes a bad raid or a good raid.. isnt given props or negs and someone believes they deserve them or they believe they deserve them, they can fight, ask for what people believe truly happened... I agree with either deleting the thread or just leaving it be as a normal topic. Doesn't need to be stickied IMO I've been using the discussion thread actually I haven't even really been on my propping game lately. But yeah sticky shit that actually is important .

I only give props when I remember takes from the night before or if I visit the forums immediately after. If I cant remember more than 3 names I tend not to even post anything cuz peeps might get their knickers in a twist if I missed their name. No bias or any of that shit tho, just a case of when I remember and can be bothered really.

So yeah, im def a culprit for miss using the thread so to speak. Pretty pointless to continue using it from my point of view.

I like the idea of only giving props for takes that actually impressed the raiders tho. Much more meaning to it but still impossible to eliminate friend noshing.
Colour coded idea for takes is also a nice touch and easily identifiable for those who care about +'s. Would be glad to see either of these ideas.

I don't think this thread killed the props thread, it looks to me as though it died off on its own. The thread looks like it has still been going at roughly the same pace as it was before, the only reason I would say the thread slowed down is that less people are playing as much as in summer and game/thread activity has slowed down accordingly. The thread still exists and anyone can post on it

I also had nothing to do with Sean posting this thread. But w/e no biggie. I'm not going to lie and act like I think it is a good idea; I still think it is terrible and I don't think it is a crime to have an opinion. You have just about every post in the thread saying the same thing about not really caring about what happens with the thread; it wasn't just me.

Scrap the whole thing, nobody props any more. Players who survive raids don't get props, only players who die get props. One of the most biased threads ever made.

Yes I did, haven't stopped playing that way. Only change in my play style is me not been as good as I was for the first 100-150 hours due to a huge disadvantage when the server moved/when I moved house.
