Good job to Beaver, Josh Lyman, and Artistic Carb.
Beaver owned again. Godly at landing kill shots!
Absolutely not surprised that Josh Lyman cupped; I have seen him in multiple tournaments and his PPH is always top 2. He just needed one kill once to cup. I wonder who is his main tank!
I played badly this tournament, no exaggeration. I got mobbed twice, lost 40+ shields twice, and it really set me back in terms of pace and flow. Stuff didn't feel right after I tried to recover my shields: people weren't sitting still to PPH with me, I couldn't get fast refills on my duals, I would be working on some target to kill but everyone else would shoot me instead, etc. Just a total mess this time around
Dare I give Quick Sand a try tomorrow?

I figure I may as well stop playing under the banner of secrecy at this point. It's not as though it was really that much of a deal anyway, let's be honest - there's probably only a couple of people who remember me from Battle-field.. but, anyway, I am 'lol'.
When I first started playing again I hadn't expected to be in it for the long haul. Once my play-time started to pick-up I sort of wanted to avoid the politics of the forum, so I continued to play in secret, but the over-whelming encouragement from the community has been great and I no longer see a point, so, that being said, thanks so much everyone for the encouragement through-out me relearning this game. I do consider myself a newb (always have been, really) so it's definitely refreshing getting advice and encouragement from today's best players and I am definitely improving my game every time I play.
Anyway! On to the tournament. Had a 7-8 minute fill, found a ferry early on and managed to snag a box of ERs early into my fill, I followed the stream downwards and was getting 7-8 boxes a screen. Made Corporal immediately after because there were 2 bots sitting together near the edge of the stream where I was filling. I saw Negotiator X on a ferry shooting at a newbie Sergeant so I took a couple shots at him and got the kill for Lieut right after I made Sergeant and then continued up stream PPHing with him up to #2/#3 where I stayed for almost the entirety of the tourney. I can't remember who I made Captain off, but by the time I got the kill I had already banked up enough PPH that I immediately shot to #1 Captain. I continued fill-fighting my way up and started trading shots with a particular blue Lieutenant. I noticed he was having trouble finding any of the larger fuels on screen (which I suspected was because he didn't have any ERs left) so I took advantage of that and continued to chase him around the map, where he must have been insufficient for a good 5-10 minutes. I have no idea how many homings I wasted on this guy but at a certain point I knew for a fact that he was going to die. Beaver must have saw him low on map and smelled blood, so he came in for the kill and ended up shooting him I think, twice? and landing the kill for Major. I won't reenact the frustration of having chased this guy down for 10 minutes only to have it taken away by 2 shots from somebody else, but know that I don't harbor any resentment over it! You capitalized and did what anybody else would have done, so congrats. Rest of the tourney was me frantically fighting between 3rd and 4th place with Artistic Carb. A couple of times I saw him in a mob and he was shooting duals whereas I was down to singles at that point, and I basically knew I was out of contention, until I finally dropped to #5 at the very last second.
Anyway, congrats all of the winners. Real fun tourney. I think I'll be at the lake for tomorrow's tourney so good-luck to everyone that plays. If not, I'll see you all there!

Good job. Tournaments are tougher now than they were a year or two ago.

This thread has a lot less chatter than the previous tournament. I'm assuming there was less controversy this time around.
