I really shouldn't play any tournies in deep six, it always ends poorly. Got fuel-blocked by my own teammate. Oh well. Looked like there was at least one person who intentionally died down this tourney, someone blue.

and you...
I raped this tourney, and then for some reason 2-3 people decided to chase me endlessly and never get the kill but to take me out of cupping for some reason... kudos faggots.

Impossible to play with my internet the way it is.
Every 3 moves getting lag spikes of 1000-3000.
I was fortunate to just limp around without dying to bots.

I saw you drop to 5th. Whatever.
Shooting you was the best thing I could do other than just chill on water cruising around for kicks.

Congratulations to Krusty the Clown, Beaver (again), and Ninjabread Man! Beaver has an insane sense of kill shots; I worked on Professor Frink (who was insufficient, stuck on an island) for a good half load of duals (30-40) that I fired into him, and he didn't die to me, but he died to beaver. Krusty the Clown has insane PPH as well, very impressive
I got my kill on The Hunter, who got insufficient on a long arc-shaped curved island. I increased my chances of landing the kill by teleporting to where he was going to drive to next (1/2 a screen in front of him) and blocking other raiders' duals / making them fire homers. Still pitiful PPH. I tried to make major as a last attempt to cup, by trying to deactivate Professor Frink (sorry! I know you were #2 captain!) but Beaver got the kill after I wasted like 30+ duals and 15+ homers on him
I think I am out of gas. Going to take a break from tournaments and maybe this game.

That was dumb, I cleared the mines around me to go to a fuel and it routed me to a deadend instead

You sound disgruntled. My death wasn't intentional. Went to grab a bunch of fuel but theintern teled right on it and then moved to another one right after that. Moved around the island until I found about 200 fuel and then tried to tele to one of the two yellow dots I could see on the map within my fuel range. Turned out to be fake and that was pretty much it by then.

Was almost a very frustrating top lieu finish. Firstly killed YOUNGSTOWN-1 (lieu) when I was sergeant like < 1k pts from lieu. The kill bumped me to lieu but didn't count towards kill for captain. He then logs back in and is pretty much a fk at this point. I find him in the center island but someone else (Krusty?) comes right away too and gets the lucky shot. Then I trap TheLateGreats in the top left island low with pretty much no fuel...shoot down ALL of his shields pretty much but at the end someone else comes in and snipes the kill

today, the second was one definitely more satisfying after several unlucky breaks. Sigma: Argh I just read your synopsis. Did not know you were the one who worked Professor down...that's basically what I did to TheLateGreats and had the kill swiped away. I don't think I saw you in my screen when Professor Frink died- you must have been to his left I'm guessing. So sorry about that, I think you deserved that kill if you had the points for major (which I hope was your strategy from minute 40 and on because you were behind too many captains)

Dude, just FYI.. personally I am not as good at water tournaments as others are. My specialties lie with land maps. That is why I have learned to avoid especially annoying and difficult maps such as iceland and deep six. It is a whole different ball game. In my opinion, I think those maps involve more lucks than a regular map but it does take a specific playstyle to master those maps. You shouldnt get discouraged if you haven't won maps like d6. It literally only took me my first cup for a barrage of cups to follow.
Take a break or two here and there, but come back soon cause you are bound to win a cup! It may do some good to rest your mind and body and come back refreshed.

Didn't spot him again until the last minute where he was low on the bottom and a few people were fighting on the ferry north of him and no one seemed to notice that he was dead low. Started shooting, got him 1 screen later.
Sigma: Was hoping you would go aggressive for a lieutenant kill towards the end because you were too far behind the top 3 captains. I don't know if you had enough points for major but there were definitely multiple captains hanging on by a bare thread in the end there.
Frink got insufficient on the north center island, and drove around for like 5-6 screens searching for fuel, while I pounded him with 30+ duals and 15+ homing shots. I felt like a real douche because he had just made #2 captain literally the screen before that, but I hoped that deactivating him could make me major.
Looks like you got him instead, after he lost 70+ shields to me

36 tries to cup is a good amount for me. Out of motivation for a while, not sure when I am coming back

Sigma, when you do come back, I seriously couldn't agree with this more.
See kirby's quote below.
-Kirby- wrote:Believing in yourself really is the most important thing, I can't understate how serious I am about that
When I felt that I was the best or on a roll, I literally felt "THE BEST". I would be cupping tournaments consecutively, and I just felt confident in my abilities. I literally have a tremendous win percentage in the tourneys I play confidently in. CONFIDENCE IS HUGE! I guarantee you that if I had 2 or 3 consecutive tourney wins, I would feel even more confident to get that 3rd or 4th thus improving my chance of cupping. If I had 2 or 3 consecutive losses, I would most probably have a lower chance of cupping that next tourney. Confidence and believing in yourself matters. Keep that in mind when you come back.
