Yuck, Iceland. Will pass on tomorrow's tourney. I think Sigma will have a very good chance of winning if it's played fairly tomorrow. There will be many people who refuse to play such a crappy map. GL to all the people out there. Rev, feel free to edit.

Congratulations to Ralph / War Beast, Beaver, and galaTASARAy

Magic Invadez did not fill in the beginning and he was running a lot / getting low. I kept a tab on him, on the map, PPH'ing 1v1 or 2v1, and teleport over to hit him whenever he got mobbed / low. Still couldn't score the kill on him, though. He died twice, and 2nd time promoted Ralph to major.

Tried to kill Cracki3, but I realized that I was also blue / same color as him. Disappointing. He would have been the other plausible kill.

Also could not get a kill in the last min armor-fighting either.

Maybe tonight, I'll try again in the other really dry water map...Deep Six

Grats regardless. You got the only legit kill of the tourney probably (on crackie), considering Beaver and I killed (supposed) newbs.

I don't think Kwok was going to intentionally die at any time...but yes he was going to die at some point because he seemed like a newer player. He was corp for the lonnnnnggggessssstttt time I stalked him and kept waiting for him to make sergeant for like 20 minutes. When he finally did, I was the first on scene. Singed joined and another orange tank joined top left near where he died (Negotiator?). 1/3 chance for the kill and got lucky Congratulations Ralph.

What's the etiquette of some random trying to give you a free kill in a tourney and not in a tourney. In the main map, I've declined a couple of times, but in a tourney, if I don't get the kill, somebody else will.

If it's in a tournament, I think the etiquette is to report it to SW regardless of everything else that transpires

Whether to take it or not is something I see as a morality issue that is only material in the heart of the player receiving the free kill, to whom the answer is not always clear

vk, if someone was following you, trying to purposely dump to you, you'd take it?

i've received fk die downs in tankpit tournaments ive played and just died to a bot in the last minute to take myself out of a cup position if i'm in it cause i don't want cups like that, and to take the die down off the table so people who legitimately earn cups get what they deserve. its really a bummer :\

tourneys - if its in a mob you go for it

if they come to you 1v1 and follow you around. you refuse.

and obviously you are never supposed to die in a tournament or take mobs. if you die it should be by accident or lag or just because your a newb at the game

I think it should be fine to take mobs in a tournament. As long as your intention is not to die to someone specific.

Has SW banned people historically for taking raids?

Ehhh I guess it depends, maybe not in the way that it happened today, but definitely if the guy's just sitting in a mob dying down, cause someone else is surely gunna get it in that case.

The way it happened today was Ralph and I were btm right corner in the last 3 minutes of the tourney and I could see this Magic Invadez guy, who was orange like I was, was chasing us back and forth across a few screens (I assumed trying to get points off Ralph as well) while we tried to get set up pph'ing, finally we got going and this guy shows up pretty low. Sits there and lets Ralph hit him 2-3 times and just dies. Ralph was already a lock for silver like he said, it just bumped him to gold. I can't blame Ralph in this case for taking it, but the Magic dude definitely deserves a ban for that shit.

Ya, it wasn't exactly a good spot for him to be taking it in, but it's definitely not as bad as the guy giving the kill. And it was his first TP cup, he was probably excited, I really don't blame him for taking it. For all he knew, the Magic dude woulda gone and found two other top lieuts to depo to. Is what it is. Magic should be banned though.
