11 minute fill. Thought I was going to have a 5 minute fill though. Second box was 4 extras, and I used them all on fresh unradared land and I totaled 5 boxes, lol, trolled hard.

When I started ranking the top were sergeant with #1 real close to LT. I figured Id see how I would do with a PPH focus, so I did. I got to around the 25 minute mark and I got to #10 and realized that this tournament was packed, so I changed my focus to kills. at the 28 minute mark I landed my serg, started filling and then continued my kill hunger focus at the 40 minute mark. Several deaths that I could not seem to be on screen for got me a little frustrated. But I knew Magnificent and Beaver were both low on shields. after missing the kill on cosmic coconut, I switched to beaver and got him across the entire screen with a missile shot - one block further and he would have been out of screen. whew.

Sevearl free kills in thius tournament though, I was there when someone died to Sigma on there second death. It seemed like a FK, not 100% though.

lol came back in for a blatant second death.

Several others that seemed obvious but names have escaped me now

Yeah, I noticed you stay sergeant for a while and I couldnt understand why. Why get 20k at sergeant? it just seems like a bad strategy. To each their own, but I don't get that one.

I can assure you that alot of the free kills and die downs were mid tournament. The deaths at the end were guys like beaver and coconut who were possibly in cupping positions and were trying to land kills but got annihilated by the cluster. 100% legit though.

Was tough being blue this tourney...definitely the weakest color. Burned shields all game as the land got super dry. Was trying to get the kill on coconut but some of the purples were shooting me instead of him so the rest of my shields disappeared just like that. Would have felt really bad if I knocked sigma out of a cup. Rev you are seriously a lucky man I feel like you get a lot of kills on homings and missiles with others shooting duals lol.

But I would assume that they stuck around because the mob of like 10-14 people was switching targets constantly - so it was hard to tell exactly who was going to die. There only chance to cup was to get lucky off another death, or possibly die themselves. "All or nothing".

Sorry you got knocked down. I always feel bad when someone gets knocked out of cup contention in the last minute but I was trying to land a ranking kill. I knew it was a long shot as there were like 10 tanks in the area but I'm not going to just hide and accept defeat. It was my first death in many tournaments. Even if I had tele'ed a few screens earlier I would have been found as the northwest quadrant was a desert.

see thats my problem... neither of the people you mentioned were going to cup with a kill. if either or both of them had gotten a kill they would have only been cap. and they were both definitely behind me and ralph.... thats what i hate with people. youre obviously behind the people who are gonna cup, like in this case, and yet you stay around to die and screw people over in the last min... its annoying


and beaver those few screens earlier would have saved me a cup. would have given people less time to turn on you and you prolly wouldnt have died

I believe ralph got his kill for capt before he had enough pts, then got a kill for major and never made it. That means he only had about 58k pp from the time he made lieutenant. I had 70k on lieu before dying so that makes me well ahead of him. Perhaps I was behind you but I think it was within reason to believe I had a shot at bronze cup. Otherwise I agree with you- people who have absolutely NO chance at cupping should not put themselves in a position to die at the end.

I had around 30k when i got my kill for cap. shortly after i got my major kill and I had 27.9k before the tournament ended. I mishandled my equip and had no duals towards the end.

This is where I disagree with some people. (Im looking at you -Kirby- ). I think that as long as you are still trying your absolute best to advance your #, everyone should be going all out towards the end. The final minute can be when we get the most points off of shield fighting, but it can also be the time where shield fighting goes all wrong and we end up with 0 shields with 15 seconds left - whoops, I've been there.

Plus everything is 20/20 in retrospect. How many times have you thought you were out of the run at #7, then all of a sudden you pass 2-3 people at once and find yourself at #4 with a massive shot at cupping. No one can give up until the bell rings!!!!
