Two questions about tournament ranking up/down

1 - Regarding ranking DOWN
What determines whether or not you are demoted if you are deactivated? Seems to be that if you have enough points to make the next level but just not the kill (i.e. - I am lieutenant with 20,000+ points or captain with 30,000+ points), and you get deactivated, you keep your rank, and just lose half of your equipment. If you don't have enough points to make next level anyway, then you lose a rank when you die. Is that the right answer?

2 - Regarding ranking UP

I see that at 4:30 in the video (14:30 in the actual tournament), BlueGhost (as a sergeant) deactivates adamq (a sergeant as well), and then when BlueGhost makes lieutenant, his exp bar is GREEN, indicating that he doesn't need to do another kill. And from there on, from 14:30 to 25:00 (when he makes captain), I don't see him kill another sergeant. So if you're serg, and you deactivate a serg, you can go straight to PPH'ing to captain, from there? Did I miss something?

Does that mean that I don't have to wait to deactivate those guys who don't fill in the beginning? Usually by the time I am lieutenant, they have already been deactivated by some other experienced players. Maybe the way around that is for me to deactivate them when I am sergeant, and have the kill carry over?

Yes if you have enough points you will keep the rank you died on. You can only die 2-3 times total tho before you will be booted out of the tournament.

And no kills do not transfer over. that must have been aglitch. If you you are luit and got akill you will make capt. but when uare capt you still need to kill a luit for maj.

If the bonus points from the kill will rank you then the kill counts.

This is a gray area in ranking that I was never sure about. Have you gotten a chance to test it?

How big are the bonuses for kills? Is this information available on the tankpit.com website?

OHH yes if you already have a kill for capt, you need 30k to rank to capt. So say you had 28k and you killed a luit it would rank you to captain plus give you the luit kill. You can almost always do this when killing a general, You can be anywhere from 40-50k, you get a 10k bonus from killing a general. So if u was maj with 30k and you killed a gen, you would rank to col right away plus have the kill for General. it would give you the 10k to make the 40k you need to rank.

Never mind, guys. Sorry, false alarm. BlueGhost killed HONOR's sergeant at 4:42, like only a few seconds after he killed the other guy
