#1: Copper Galaxy
(PD3.0 / ASCENDANCY)
#2: Gold
(Lancehead)
#3: Murder INC

congrats to the winners. all played fairly i think. Gold got silver again, haha. I lost again, haha. Missed SEVERAL (literally, several) kills. Unlucky tourney for me, although I was #1 at one point (as a lieut, haha).
I have a proposition for future tourneys. It would be interesting to see people record their comp screens while playing the tourney, then upload the vid to youtube (if they placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the tourney) so others can watch and learn, making tournaments a learning and more challenging experience for all of us.

Thanks!
I would, if my internet wasnt so sensitive to running multiple things. I would most likely be lagging my butt off and defeating the purpose of showing how to win a tournament. But it is fun, i have seen kirby's and they are at the very least entertaining.

I played as Michigan Wolverines, I could not get a Lt kill for the life of me. I spent most of my time getting a kill rather than trying to get a good pph. Oh well, next time. Good job to the winner.

You want to learn how to win tournies?
Just watch me. Or ask and I might tell you.
To the morons out there:
You can continue trying to fuck with me, but you're going to lose every time. Copperhead, completely shameful. Helping your buddy out for gold by q'ing out every time I go after you then re-entering 15 seconds later, continually moving and hiding behind rocks shooting homing shots, then q'ing out when I tele there. And your buddy still can't get gold, lmao
Your little bullshit doesn't work on people who actually have tournament skill. You never stood a chance.

Sorry.... i find it quite entertaining to rack up 6 silver cups on a tank named "gold" than to get gold immediately and move on to smash your "tournament skills" with another tank. Tournaments can be played in whatever fashion someone wants as long as there are no FK's or die downs. Cry about it some more.
It's not necessarily a race to get gold for me, it wouldn't be as rewarding when I do get it. I couldn't tell you how many times somebody gets a lucky kill to beat me to gold as a major when I have at least 10% more pph than them. It's just pure luck (or lack thereof) that I haven't hit my gold yet. And that's fine, it makes it that much more rewarding when I do, and I will continue to have fun in tournaments because of the challenge.
Also, how can you talk like that when you get 2 lucky kills LT's in less than 15 seconds? That kind of stuff can only be a giant fluke or a staged kill. I'm going to assume you just got extremely lucky, but go on and boast. What happened to you there is something seen once in a hundred tournaments, keep up the "tournament skill" buddy. I'd like to see you try.

Congratulations, you lose. I would love to tell you my secret cupped tanks, but I'll keep those few to myself. All within about 8-9 months, seeing as how I didn't touch this game from September until January. So I don't know who you think you're talking to, but you're barking up the wrong "tournament skill" tree.
You act like it made any difference that I got 2 kills in a row. I would have gladly stayed at Captain and still had you beat by 10%.
What Copperhead did, although you not being directly involved, was complete bullshit and something I didn't even know was a so-called "strategy" used by anyone. Speed Hack used to be a good "strategy" too, doesn't make it right. He was purposefully trying to sabotage someone else by quitting in and out, which I do consider that a form of cheating, especially in tournaments. He was doing so to benefit you, clearly. Distract my attention all you want, make me chase you, but do not fucking quit in and out 15 times. You know damn well that isn't right. I never call people out for anything on here unless it was deserved, go ahead look at my post history. This was deserved.
But hey, snakes just bein' snakes right? Some things never change.

But hey, snakes just bein' snakes right? Some things never change.
3 things.
0. I don't really understand why this snake gon snake thing keeps coming up. Does the idea of a "snake" being "better" than you scare you? The only reason I could fathom you saying something like this is to try and put yourself above a group of players because of a perceived past notion. It's like a last ditch effort for you to make a failing case, oh he must not be good, he's a snake. Don't be mad that even a snake can give you a good run for your money.
1. I could care less about your "secret tanks." Your choice to keep it secret is your choice, no one gives a shit about secret tanks so don't even bring that up. Talk about something that isn't secret, talk about it up front. No one cares about invisible bullshit.
2. I hoped i didn't have to explain this to you of ALL people, as you have a lot of self-prescribed "tournament skill"... but when you obtain kills like that, it influences how other people play. Did you know this? I hope so. It makes other people go for kills and not points, knowing that you are in line to hit major. This impacts gameplay and also gives the person who gets the kill much needed equipment. Not having a 2nd kill, thus would have severely limited your chances of cupping 1st. And no, I could bet the entire world that you would not have been 10% ahead of me in pph. Even with your 2nd kill and my killhunting, you were no more than 10 dual shots ahead of me by the end of the tournament. It would have been no more than 1 or 2%.
3. Speedhack is cheating. The method someone chooses to play in a game is not. You're right, that kind of behavior though is not necessarily "right." It's just annoying. But don't call it cheating, its not. It was a spur of the moment thing because I found it extremely hard to believe you can just get 2 LT kills in 10 seconds without some sort of bullshit going on. Regardless, you got your "tournament skill" to pull through for you and win your gold so there really isn't much you should be complaining about. But rest assured, I know what "TREE" i am barking up and this tree has the worst goddam view on the island.

Congratulations, you lose.
On this note, Rev when do you update the tournament thread?
Well thanks Ascendancy, it was of course my ultimate goal to beat you in cup count even though you have played twice as many tournaments as me. (I've won 80% of my cups in the last 3 months of play time) But it seems I now have a reason to cup. It may make for some fun tournaments to come! Good luck.

I'll do the update Sunday night. I've taken a small break from tournaments due to many complaints about same players winning cups week after week. I've always taken issue with the complaint but taking a small break is usually beneficial anyways. Nice to see that the drama is still at peak levels, and I look forward to enter the ring again soon.

Tournament points have been updated. Lancehead and ASCENDANCY both tied at 38 points, haha. ASCENDANCY has more gold for the advantage.
