you have to remember, i'm playing without a keyboard and had a 16 min fill. there were already about 6-8 lieutenants when i hit corp and i was out of the t25 completely at lieut but still positioned myself to potentially win.

Missed yet another tournament, whatever
You're loads better then when you started. Try to scope out the potential serg kills from those who didn't fill, keep an eye on the mob action happening in the minimap and don't skimp on your total points.

Thanks goober, purps almost got me today, that and another couple 6-10 tank groups lol. 9:35 fill looks pretty average, onto the next one! Unbelievable on how the same people win e.v.e.r.y. single tournament -__- great job though.

I have to agree that supreme commander did play a good tournament. With a 16 minute fill, to be in the "range" of the top 5 I'd say it is very good. Takes serious skill to bridge that gap with a 13+ minute fill.
That is of course assuming all the numbers were remembered correctly lol. SW we need a point system for tournaments!

Yea Rev, I was actually looking for a kill for quite a while. It just didn't happen for me. Was extremely surprised to see bear jew die what I thought was "prematurely", I figured he would last a few more seconds and was expecting to teleport on him to snag the kill.
But yea, im enjoying the turnout. It seems there are less noobs and more skilled players, which I guess can be a good thing but is also making it difficult for me to decide who to target.
AND YES SW, PLEASE BRING TOURNEY POINTS BACK! If we are moving in the direction of having what the people of TP want, (like we see in those polls to decide which map to rotate to for main map) why not have a poll to determine if the majority wants tourney points back?

or lets get that awesome idea for tournaments with random end times rolling. legit would revolutionize tournament play.

Well.. 1 step at a time lol. I think it is fair to have tournaments on a rotation basis that is random or SW-picked because to be fair, some people are just really good at land tournies and a select few are good at water tournies. I am only consistently good at dominantly land tournies, as water tournies require a little bit of ferry luck at times. I'm pretty sure most people would vote maps like desert for tournaments which is totally fine, but again would be sort of unfair for those better at water tournies.
PP's on the other hand is something that USED to be around and so it shouldn't be much work implementing something that was taken out. It's no new coding and no new work to implement it. It's just a matter of if people prefer it/find it useful. Just thinking... why have promotion points in the game but not tournament exp points that used to be?
Idk about varying tournament end times either.. that seems sketch. I think if it's planned ahead on a schedule for a given week/month that assures the best turnout and stability.
Anyway, I tend to believe the majority would like tournament pp's back. I just hope people can see that it will do either one of 2 things... 1) Nothing for those who don't care about it, 2) Everything, for those who really want to see tournament pp's and see how they fare against others as a "progress check" figuring out if a certain strategy yields better placement in tournies, or competitive reasons, or simply for fun. It will also eliminate all guessing and speculation about who is getting more points blahblahblah.
All I see is that it can either have ZERO IMPACT or a POSTIVE IMPACT, but not a negative impact. I say why not?

The argument against showing EXP is this...
The point of a tournament is to place in the top three in order to get a cup. Recieving a cup should be the most important factor in the tournament, because that is what everyone is competing for. But when you introduce EXP showing, all of a sudden the guy who wins with less experience then the guy(s) who just didn't get that lucky shot may get more credit then the people who actually won.
So case and point = PPH>Kills
While I do not necessarily agree with this viewpoint, I do agree that this could happen. But in reality it happens anyway, because usually everyone has a good idea of who were the contenders anyways. The number would only confirm it.
My view on it is this: If you win a cup, regardless if you were a top point achiever, you are super happy for winning and should really care less if others had more points because they didn't have the ability to land a kill(s). If you did not win a cup but were in the running with people who did, having points showing gives you that secondary comfort of knowing you were competitive and you just needed to land a kill.
So both parties are happy and more likely to play more tournaments. People who win just can't get butt hurt if they don't get most points, and people who get top points may rub it in the face of the winners - but at the end of the day the winners are the ones who walk away with the cups.

I don't think it matters if points are shown or not because at the end of the day even if you have top pph but no kill you're just another loser that didn't win a cup.

tourney exp should come back but not like it matters these days as competition is terrible at best it would be like when what's his name was cupping when no one good played and he would brag about the all the 99s he got
