Map Popularity Based on Activity.

:star3: Yields the highest possibilities of consistent activity around the clock. In order by volume. :star3:
:star3: Desert
:star3: Rocks and Swamp
:star3: The Pit
:star3: Elements

:star2: Yields medium activity, most maps require some sort of water maintenance to stay playable. In order by volume. :star2:
:star2: Tron
:star2: The Nile
:star2: Castles
:star2: Orbital
:star2: Foundry
:star2: Crazy Waters
:star2: Crazy Maze
:star2: Levels

:star1: Yields little to no activity around the clock. If one does win the vote in the rotation, most players often regret letting it win. :star1:
:star1: Appaloosa Land
:star1: Iceland
:star1: Deep Six
:star1: Metropolis
:star1: Atlantis
:star1: Aqurarium

Please try to vote for maps in the :star3: category in the order presented on the list as much as possible for the best results of activity on a daily basis.

If no maps are in the poll from the previous category, please try to vote in order from the :star2: category for best activity.

Please never vote for any map presented in the :star1: category.
This will kill activity and make most players cry and go into withdrawal and start doing drugs. (this isn't even a joke, this community literally will go do drugs)
Unfortunately the poll is usually rigged every day so that most of the available choices are in this category to try to beg players to vote for one of these or they'd never see playtime, don't fall for it!

Thank you for your consideration and remember to please vote for activity, not for false notions of nostalgia that isn't there anymore.
Remember that just because a map looks aesthetically nice, doesn't mean it's playability is any good. It only looks appealing from the login screen.

 If you happen to see a blocked-off ferry, please go out of your way to unblock it so players can keep the waters cleared. Thank you.

How did you obtain these figures that show activity levels? I do not disagree with what you have stated, but I would be interested in knowing the activity based on server log files when certain maps are in play. Perhaps this is something SW could look into and making public by displaying a percentage based level of activity on the "vote for" page... :um:

just an observation study of 750+ hours of actively playing the game and congregation with other highly active/batty+ players.

:star3: maps are almost never completely empty and usually have some players kicking around whether it be a few players taking advantage of pph time or a lot of players taking advantage of raiding time. many players can grind the game out on these maps for hours on end without really feeling any boredom, creating great potential for activity.

:star2: maps have a little less players than the previous, and can be potentially empty many times throughout the day and night, but they can sustain durable activity spikes easily with minor maintenance and do have times of increase activity while the maps feel wet and taken care of. unlike the first category though, these maps have lets say "forced intermission" states where the water has to be cleared by pphers for more action to build. this can kill the fun of the grind for many players, so they leave.

:star1: maps quickly go dry after only under an hour of sustained activity and all fuel and equipment end up waterlogged and everybody refuses to play it from that point forward and most of the day the game is dressed to the 9s. not worth the effort of cleaning the waters like the waters in category two, because after all of that effort, the land will just go dry under an hour again. a vicious cycle that almost nobody wants to be part of. ultimately destroying the game's activity.

hope i cleared some things up. :)

I'm all about the :star3: list. Always solid activity.

I'm surprised Crazy Maze isn't on the :star3: list though.
