For whatever reason my laptop is doing this. Creating random links on stuff and only when I visit the Tankpit website do adds suddenly start to appear in the bottom right. I don't have any of these issues when I'm on facebook or anything. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how do you resolve it?

I ended up with this problem a couple years ago and I got it from this forum of all places LOL. We had a series of Russian spam bots attack the forum and I accidentally clicked on one of the links.

I'm pretty sure I got rid of it with my basic antivirus program. I use the paid version of "exterminate it" because it not only finds the problems but eliminates them (the free version just finds them and you have to eliminate them manually). I use "exterminate it" because I had bad luck with Norton, AVG, etc. but some people will tell you Norton is the shit.

It happened to me on Firefox and I've actually been using Chrome ever since but the problem is gone anyways. You may have to re-install your browser though too. I'm not sure since I just switched to using Chrome lol.

It looks like after two scans from malwarebytes, a few deletions from the control panel, and a restart, the problem has been resolved. Thanks guys!

what is your homepage on chrome, cause it most likely has now changed to a weird search engine.

if it has changed, just google trying to remove that search engine's spyware/malware

you caught some bullshit add-on. simply disable it and then go into your installed programs and find the garbage that sponsors this shit (usually some type of media player or something) and just uninstall it. this happens to me sometimes so I've figured out how to deal with it.
