PSA: what's his name is a threat to account security.

what's his name has somehow gotten the IP addresses or something of many Bf-unity members (leaked through i assume corrupted moderators who can see IPs, or more likely from anybody who ever visited his own tpworld forum) and has already hijacked blast chats on aim by going into multiple people's AIM accounts and stealing/tampering with administrator rights from the owners of blast chats.
As seen above, he hijacked my AIM account, re-added himself with my name after being banned from the rusty club for intolerable behaviour, and changed my administrator rights for the rusty club so i can't do anything about it, all while i was asleep at midnight last night. Anybody who has the same password for their tankpit ccids as they do for bfunity/aim, he potentially already has your information and should be treated as a potential threat to your account and should be advised he could have already fucked with your tanks.
this is not to be taken lightly and tampering with any players account security without their knowledge and consent should be treated as a violation of the rules and etiquette and all offender tanks forfeited and permanently banned.
I urgently advise anybody that sees this post to immediately make sure your TankPit password is unique to any other passwords he potentially could have hijacked from AIM/BFUnity. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT YOU FORGOT ABOUT REGISTERED TO HIS TPWORLD FORUMS, HE WILL DEFINITELY HAVE YOUR INFORMATION IF THIS IS THE CASE!!!

Update: just logged out of my tankpit account to test my password to make sure it worked since it always has me auto-logged in, and to make sure wasn't the same password as AIM/Bfunity and my password didn't work, nor did any other password i ever use worked and couldn't get into my account to change my password. i was forced to get a new password emailed to me. (this might've been and probably was my fault though since i have log me out automatically if IP changes enabled and i wasn't logged out this morning.)
but just in case, my TankPit information should be safe again since i made sure my password was new and unique, and i assigned a brand new email address to the account incase he saw my old one if he was on my account and can't recover through the old email. AIM/BfUnity account is still compromised though.

Sunwolf has confirmed no action will be taken against what's his name for any of this and wrote it off as it isn't his problem. Congrats, what's his name wins. Sunwolf has basically told the community to go fuck themselves.
Everybody feel free to hack each other. confirmation that there's no punishment and it's complete and total anarchy. no rules!

Do you want our already busy Dev to waste a brunch of time babysitting people on aim? No, he in no way supports us using AIM, why would he police it? If what's his name ever stole an account I could see bringing SW in, but... lul

Contrary to your views, I'm not owner of this community, nor do I view myself as "responsible for the actions of [my] playerbase". I am a constituent of this community just as everyone else is. My jurisdiction is the TankPit website. If someone is hacking or cheating or otherwise breaking the rules on there, it's my job to deal with it. If players are fighting among each other, revealing teams, and so on on a different website (as they have been for years), it's not my job to step in and play favoritism. Similarly, BFHQ never stepped in to handle drama outside the game and their website (in fact they wouldn't even step in to return stolen tanks).
My advice regarding what's his name is:
* This community needs to ban him if they see fit (it's not all up to me, but up to the people who run this forum and the AIM chats and all the players).
* Change your passwords to get any stolen accounts back.
* Let me know if any TP accounts were compromised...
* Any ideas that will make the game better and more immune to bad players, let me know....
Sorry if I've let any of you down, but I don't want to babysit or own the entire community, tell everyone how they can and cannot act, and step in to solve every personal argument, and so on.

i liked cujo better when he was zeus, at least he wasn't a prick.
i guess a player's tank name reflects their nature at the time.
as zeus he was feared, respected, people looked up to him as a player. like the god
as homer j simpson, he's a yellow-bellied idiotic autistic retard that was only relevant a decade ago.
edit. it's truely sad to see a great player in the game's history like yourself, stoop down to nothing more than the -Death addeR- of tankpit.

20. Dancin' Homer: Homer J. Simpson's first brush with greatness didn't occur until Season 2, when he became the official mascot of the Springfield Isotopes. While attending "Nuclear Plant Employees, Spouses and No More Than Three Children Night" at Springfield Stadium, a drunken Homer boosts the crowds' spirits by dancing. He's later given a shot at filling in for the Capitol City Goofball. Unfortunately, his time in the spotlight seems to be over. The antics which energized the citizens of Springfield do nothing for the big city folk in Capitol City. Homer returns to Springfield a local hero with a story to tell at Moe's for years to come.
19. Giving Up Free Cable: One of Homer's more modest achievements, but an important one, nevertheless. In Homer vs. Lisa and the 8th Commandment, Lisa's conflict of conscience leads Homer to give up the illegal cable hookup he loves so much. Not even the "So You've Decided to Steal Cable," pamphlet can dissuade him of the valuable lesson his daughter taught him.
18. Catching the General Sherman: While on his way to a marriage counseling retreat, Homer learns the legend of catfish General Sherman. It turns out the fish resides in the very lake Homer and Marge are going to. After blowing off the counseling sessions, Homer catches the fish. He throws it back once he sees what his selfish ways have done to his wife.
17. Saving Springfield from nuclear meltdown... twice: In both season three's Homer Defined and season seven's King Size Homer, Safety Inspector Simpson manages to "turn a potential Chernobyl into a mere Three Mile Island." Hey, the first time may have been the luck of "eenie, meenie, miney, mo," and the second time may have been due to his gargantuan size, but he still saved the town.
16. Winning the softball championship: While he's not in the best shape, a few of Homer's greatest accomplishments are in sports. When not even Don Mattingly and Ken Griffey Jr. can, Homer manages to force the winning run and win the company championship game against Shelbyville. He beats the ringers, takes a softball to the skull and comes out Springfield's hero yet again.
15. Stopping an out-of-control Monorail: In the Conan O' Brien- scripted Marge vs. The Monorail, Homer manages to craft a crude anchor to stop the substandard monorail that con artist Lyle Lanley has sold to Springfield.
14. Winning a Grammy with The Be-Sharps: In the 5th season premiere, Homer's Barbershop Quartet, we learn that in the summer of '85, Homer formed a barbershop quartet with Apu, Principal Skinner, and Chief Wiggum. Wiggum was swiftly replaced by Barney Gumble before the group experienced flash-in-the-pan success with their song "Baby on Board."
13. Going to Space: In what most would consider Homer's greatest achievement, he blasted off to the final frontier as part of a NASA public relations campaign. While destroying NASA's experiment and almost being sucked into oblivion, Homer manages to save his shipmates with an inanimate carbon road. We may not ever know whether ants can sort tiny screws in space, but Homer has had the experience of a lifetime.
12. Being town crier in Springfield's bicentennial parade: While a more down-to-earth (ugh!) accomplishment, Homer nabs the hat and bell from rightful crier Ned Flanders (who, let's face it, does suck-diddly-uck) in season seven's Lisa the Iconoclast. Police Chief Wiggum's response to what could only be considered assault and battery? "Let the man march, boys! Let the man march."
11. Owning an NFL team: In You Only Move Twice, a classic from Season 8, Homer gains brief employment with a delightful, villainous genius named Hank Scorpio. After unwittingly helping Scorpio to do away with nemesis James Bont, Homer is given the Denver Broncos. With John Elway still playing quarterback for the team in 1996, this is a pretty big accomplishment for any sports fan.
10. Becoming the "Beer Baron": In Season 8's Homer vs. The Eighteenth Amendment, alcohol is prohibited in Springfield. Homer quenches Springfield's thirst by creating a microbrewery in the Simpsons' basement and secretly shuttling it to Moe's, which has become Springfield's hottest speakeasy.
9. Climbing The Murderhorn: In Season 9's King of the Hill, Homer gorges on Power Sauce energy bars. The company sees Homer as a walking publicity stunt and convinces him to try to climb The Murderhorn, a mountain in Springfield.
8. "Solving" an ancient Egyptian puzzle: In season nine's Lost Our Lisa, Homer accidentally discovers The Orb of Isis, an Egyptian artifact, is actually a music box. The father and daughter are the first to hear its song in thousands of years.
7. Becoming an artist: In season 10's Mom and Pop Art, Homer's destruction of a barbecue grill piques the interest of art critic Astrid Weller and Homer becomes the hottest new thing on Springfield's art scene. His niche? Outsider art - art created by a hillbilly, monkey or mental patient.
6. Creating Tomacco: In Season 11's E-I-E-I-(Annoyed Grunt), Homer tries his hand at farming and with a little help from plutonium, develops tomacco - a highly addictive tomato-tobacco hybrid. Interestingly enough, this episode inspired the real-life creation of such a product.
5. Bowling a perfect 300 game: Homer manages to accomplish an athletic milestone by bowling a perfect 300 game in Season 11's Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder. This event inspires a parody of The Natural during the final frame (complete with exploding lanes and arm-pumping), adulation and a prime spot as center square on Springfield Squares.
4. Winning a Pulitzer Prize: Homer prints "all the muck that's fit to rake" in season 12's The Computer Wore Menace Shoes. He exposes Mayor Quimby for diversion of funds and Mr. Burns for selling uranium to terrorists and in doing so, earns Mister X (Homer's nom de plume) a Pulitzer for investigative journalism.
3. Going on a hunger strike: For a man who once drooled over 64 slices of American cheese and maca-ma-damia nuts, relinquishing food is a big deal. But in Season 12's Hungry, Hungry Homer, he does exactly that in the hopes of exposing the Springfield Isotopes' move to Albuquerque. The episodes ends with the move being discovered. Homer is heralded as a hero and ends his hunger strike while being showered with food.
2. Getting a talk show: Following in the great tradition of Johnny Carson, Steve Allen and Tyra Banks, Homer gets his own talk show in the season 15 episode Today I Am A Clown. With Moe, Carl and Lenny (later substituted with Barney and Disco Stu), the show is a ratings bonanza and Homer becomes the talk of the town.
1. Becoming Pie-Man: In season 15's Simple Simpson, Homer again tries his hand at vigilantism by donning a mask and becoming Pie-Man, a pastry-flinging superhero who delivers delicious justice to Springfield's evil-doers by pie-ing them in the face.
And what the fuck have you done lately Sperman? Or would you rather compare ingame achievements? Now, we was talking some livestream?

in tankpit, i'm technically reputably better than you.
sit cujo sit. good dog.
and in all of those irrelevant things you listed. homer j simpson was still an autistic yellow-bellied retard and as a cartoon nothing he says should even be taken seriously.
sad to think pride is right, that if what's his name went back to openly cheating you would support him and back him up 100%. you're just as pathetic as he is.
nice attempt to try to back up what he's doing right now and to distract us from the actual issues taking place outside of your fantasy world.

Had you not played this little innocent victim role while bending over and whispering for people to fuck with me, I'd have a little pity for you. I'm not just being a dick to some randy, you're a genuine POS. I don't condone cheating, I don't cheat, and I don't affiliate with cheaters. Simpsons have too many hours and too many cups for you guys to bitch about what you do. The good outweighs the bad a ridiculous amount, it just seems you guys use the same rebuttals every time.
Technically reputably better? By whose standards? I'd challenge you to make the thread, you know how we do. You ain't in my tier level in any category, all you got was a ton of sympathy respect for dying a shit ton on your way to rusty. The list was as laughable as you comparing me to Homer like that, he's very entertaining and that's why we watch television.
If you send me a formal apology via PM i'll end this fuckery.

Is that what you was trying to accomplish when you were playing the role of an instigator no more than a week ago?

what's his name isn't a threat to account security. The situation was certainly blown out of hand. what's his name's not going to abuse any more because he doesn't want to take his trolling too far (as he already has). He has returned Sherman's blast chat.
The rest of you need to calm down regarding what's his name & his team. If he's cheating, report it. If there's a way to make the game more fair or better, report it. If you just don't like them, go out there and slaughter them on the fields and in tournaments. Remember... what's his name thrives on your attention and in situations like this you're giving him far too much of it.

i felt it was reasonable to warn everybody of a potential threat to their accounts and to make sure their passwords are unique and differ from anything what's his name could get his hands on.
all i know is my aim was hacked into a few days after i heard what's his name had some player's aim info. and i had the same passwords for tankpit and aim, and i didnt know how many other people's information he had, so i sent out an urgent warning to all to check their accounts passwords to prevent any kind of malicious intent.
the threats seem to be neutralized, thanks.

hopefully we've all taken preventative measures to make sure our ccid's don't have the same passwords as anything else from this little scare.
i know i have, happy pitting.
