Most of us played Battlefield 10+ years ago, and most of us are in our 20's and some even older. Battlefield had some really old players...

In ten years time, could you forsee yourself still playing, or at least still around the BFU forum? Food for thought. :shrug:

Yeah, I've been playing on and off for more than 10 years now. I don't see why that would change but a lot can happen in 10 years. Interesting to think about.

I hope I don't get too busy with work and real life to play anymore. I've missed playing this game the last few years and I was so pumped when I found out about TankPit. I'd like to think if I wasn't so busy traveling for hockey growing up I would have played consistently enough over the years that people would actually remember me haha.

I remember the day I got to my computer to play battlefield and it was gone. Some other weird tank game had been introduced that I hated. I started playing Runescape after that and never looked back until almost a year ago when I found tankpit. Very pleased to have the nostalgia of this old gem.

LIES Jon was on a few days ago. I seen his name at the bottom for the forum. I do miss Blaze44 as well.

I find myself becoming less and less interested in the game/community. I beasted out a sword on PH, and after that, no motivation to play. I come in from time to time, but if I stay more then 5 mins, its too much. TBH, as much as I enjoy playing games on the computer like counter strike, and tankpit at one point in time, I cannot for see it being a part of my life in the future.

It was great while it lasted, but I can feel its a chapter of my life that is closing quickly.

As phr33k said back in the day when playbf and battlefield got shut down, you won't forget something that's been a part of your life for so many years. I've spent nearly a decade of my life around this game and all of you.

It just felt different. New tanks, new maps, new ranks, new stats. Equipment seemed more scarce (when TP first came out and was still on 'hush mode' I got linked and tried filling for over 45 minutes on my first recruit, never came back till practice was released) and it still seemed retarded bad. Some shots that should have been perfectly fine seemed to not work, controls were choppy (i.e. holding space bar to shoot would shoot a few rounds then just... do nothing.) etc etc. I didnt expect it to be 'battlefield' per say, but it was so different I just couldnt get into it. Thats just me tho. To each their own. I didnt care for battlefield when I was younger, I played for fun and never took it seriously (except my practice rank, gtfo!) I damn sure didnt expect much out of this lol. I tried playing just cause of practice, more so as a joke to be laughed about here, but I couldnt even force myself to continue playing this. I dont enjoy it.

These two things are practically the same between BF and TP. Granted that shot angles WERE broken for a long time, so this criticism may be from that era.

Actually I think I know what he's talking about with using spacebar to shoot...It happens to me sometimes when I radar, or mine then hit spacebar before the radar or mines go off. It doesn't register your spacebar is held down after the action. You can always notice right away, and release, and hold spacebar again.
