excelsior call out

I usually don't call out a teammate, but I feel like I have to on this occasion. We were fighting 2v2 gen/col vs gen/col on orange. I and the other col were shooting down shields and you were one space away from him. Instead of shooting at col you were shooting at the other general. Dude I was about to die because you wanted to make an extra buck. Luckily I teleported away with 200 fuel and 2 shields and the col quit low (Gen-x-....) probably with 0 shields.

And if you are going for point, that decision probably wasn't even optimal. Think about it. You get slightly fewer points for shooting at the col but there's a 50/50 chance of killing him, which nets you a promotion+points. In expectation that is more than shooting at the general.

it was 2v2 and i didnt realize you 2 scrubs were gonna shield fight lol. i was predicting for him to teleport so i started firing at scrub #3 after he got low, I was too lazy to take my cursor off scrub #3 after dat until he moved. Then I immediately trap scrub #1 and we were both shooting him, then he quit low and scrub #2 (yourself) did not end up dying. yes i would have loved to kill scrub #1. So what's the problem?

You were actually shooting at the col to start with. Then when we started burning shields you switched to the gen. If you didn't realize we were burning shields then maybe you need to be more observant. I thought you knew but I guess I gave you too much credit. I guess I can't count on you in a team fight.

mz I don't owe you an explanation but let me explain again anyways, to help you understand what goes through the mind of a normal player so you dont rage when you "almost' die in the future

In a 2v2 people rarely shield fight because those situations are normally just fightin for points because people don't die 2v2. We both start shooting scrub #1, and like most normal players in this situation, I try to predict when scrub #1 will teleport. So when I felt like he was low enough where he was gonna teleport in a shot or 2 I just start shooting scrub #3. Yes I realize after a few more shotz dat scrub #1 and scrub #2(yourself) were shield fighting. At dat point I still didnt have the impression dat we were gonna kill scrub #1 anyways and my cursor was already on scrub #3 so I kept shootin scrub #3 for a few more shotz until he tele. At dat point I startin shootin at scrub #1 again and then move to trap him. At the same time scrub #3 tele back and started shooting you and you were prob a little upset and thought dat I was the reason why you "almost" died.

mz feels entitled to have the final decision on how you can and cant shoot. If you armor fight to the point where you almost die thats your problem, maybe you should work on your survival skills instead of expecting others to mind read your genius results oriented plan. Or just take a fk if you want to rank.

Not, atelo is obv in the wrong for not helping you rank. You should go back to not calling out, like, anyone.

SW is an angel compared to past admins that I have experienced (The Red October especially).....

Generally people don't get the notion that they can kill anyone in a 2v2 so don't be so butthurt when someone shoots the higher ranked tank.

I think this is the kind of thing that should have been taken to private messages in the first place

It would be nice if we could list our tank information underneath our avas so that people newer to the forum could get a quicker feel for who is who, I think sometimes people want to use private messages but don't know who's who. Tanknames with colors & awards would be great, consider this an inquiry as to whether this can be done.

We also have a props/callout thread for these kinds of things, where players can complement/criticize each other's play!
