Team vs Team Numbers battle
i think that it would be very interesting to see like a team v team battle that extend over a long period of time, instead of just one battle based on how many people are killed. ill explain by laying out the rules and foundation.
2 teams of 5-7 players would be created starting from scratch with one captain on each side drafting members from a pool of those interested in entering.
Team 1:
Captain:
1:
2:
3:
4:
5:
6:
Team 2:
Captain:
1:
2:
3:
4:
5:
6:
The period of playing time would be 3 months, for example the starting date could be Jan 1st 2014. the ending date would be April 1st 2014. On the starting date each player may start his new tank, NOT BEFORE, in the last week of the 3 months everyone must rank to general. ( if you are not ranked to Gen at the end date, your tank will be disqualified and your team will receive an automatic +75 in points)
Winners would be determined by the following point system after the end date has past.
The total number of General numbers added together for each team, minus awards perks that follow
Certain awards will lower your teams total number.
-3
-2
-1
*edit* the highest cup you have on your tank will be the one implement into your teams points at the end of the time period, not an accumulation of cups won.
-1
-.5
0
^^^this will help encourage raid taking.
Killing people of the opposite team at certain ranks will also lower your team number slightly.
Kill general: -1
Kill col: -.5
Kill maj: -.25
To receive credit for these points, the kills MUST be documented correctly by taking Screenshots that will be added up at the end of the 3 months period.
The lowest total number after all these are added is the winning team
so obviously picking people who are very active would be very beneficial to your team as well as their playing and cupping abilities, and the extended time length leaves some flex for everyone.
I think this would be a lot of fun and show a lot of the abilities of the the players in the community and make the game quite active.
thoughts?

Love it. If I could play regularly I would be in.

This is a GR8 idea - count me in, that is, if a Team Captain will pick me.

I would enjoy this.
The idea needs some ironing out, but I like the principle. I think 3 months is much to long though, 1 month seems sufficient.

this could be true, but i think if it was just one month it would be like a race for everyone to basically get a shiner. tons of people get shiners in like 3 weeks then kinda temper off some. the three month period gives all players some flex in case things come up in their lives or if they cant play as often as some people do. plus it gives people more time to get gold cup with the tournament schedule.

this would be worth it if tankpit actually gave the winning team something for their efforts.

Also the cups point system does not mean you get like say -3 per gold cup you win on your team tank. the MAX you can get is -3 total. if you have a gold cup at the end of the period, your team receives only -3 points regardless of how many times you won gold on the tank.
it also means that if you won a bronze cup first, but then later won a gold cup, you don't get -1 + -3 points. you get the -3 points from the gold, the highest cup will be your implemented points
this encourages all the team players to try to get gold cups on their tanks to help their team have the lowest score.
