After work and the gym later tonight I will be bringing back uTanks sections to the forum, hopefully there are no objections? Seriously please don't cry over this. :clueless:

TankPit is mysteriously down, the date it comes back up is unknown. uTanks really isn't bad at all, 60% of this community probably either tried it or plays it.. The other 40% that played TankPit only never gave uTanks a shot because they had the option of playing another game.

Try it out, and you are guaranteed to have fun. This weekend well get a Teamspeak going and I'll help anyone out that needs help setting up TeamSpeak or uTanks client.. Well try to get some battles / raids / activity going and you will be amazed how uTanks can handle 20 ish ppl in at once compared to TankPit lagging.

Also if you need an account at uTanks PM me and I will search for some spare ones.

This is just going to cause more debate for what game is better. I honestly doubt tank pit is gone for good, it seems highly unlikely. I understand uTanks has been inactive before this incident and found it a great time to solicitate. It's up to ya'll but I ain't jumpin the gun.

i dont play utanks but i never understood really why it left. Evolve to survive, without tankoit this forum is bound to fail. If i get bored this weekend ill try utanks. How do i get an account? Im not sure ill actually play but possibly.

The primary reason why there are so many people who play tankpit is because the game directly replicates that of battlefield so most people jumped the gun to overlook utanks.

Another possible reason is the graphics, most people don't like the graphics in utanks and instead would rather stick the original graphics from tankpit. If tankpit was released at the same time as utanks I would've probably chosen tankpit without a 2nd glance at utanks for this reason no lie. But unfortunately utanks came out before tankpit and I've invested over 1000hrs in the game :clueless:

and i find myself thinking i playing cant imagine playing any other way. It takes time to addapt to the new graphics and concepts but when you do you might actually come to like the game and find that it can be as equally challenging as tankpit if not harder.

I like tankpit, I actually had something big planned with zub for a rusty but unfortunately never happened because of what DID happen.

anyways, two weeks isn't enough time to start giving up hope on the game, even you josh remember utanks shutting down for a month about 9months ago even though andy did specify the reason (thread: tankpit pg10 or 11). I'd suggest waiting 1month at least, there really isn't a reason to readd the utanks sections anyways if they're going to be taken down again upon tp revival, besides there's already two forums for that game although i can understand the logic given the history of this forum.

The only reason I got rid of the utanks sections before was because no one was using them.. You guys were posting on the uTanks underground forum, so it really made no sense to have them here if they were inactive as hell.

I'll wait a couple more weeks before doing anything I suppose. Again PM me if you need an account, give the game a shot at the very least.

i can't speak for the others, but truthfully, i am not really in favor with how certain utanks players have reacted to this tankpit situation (most of them looking for direct ways to capitalize, not being sensitive to the fact that your game just disappeared, etc). i don't approve of utanks sections on this forum (at least not yet); the majority of the utanks community STILL doesn't post here, and it would basically be 2 forums for the same game, and it looks pretty stupid if tankpit comes back and they are rendered useless like 2 days later or something.

i want tankpit to return to fill that niche that it created tbh. the fact that it just appears (especially when it did) and then disappears not even a year later is pretty fucking pathetic and irresponsible on the part of the owners, and completely unfair to the players. you know what else is kinda unfair to the players? trying too hard to recruit them into a game they don't even wanna play. idk about the rest of the utanks players, but i'd rather have a tankpitter who is genuinely interested and eager, not someone who simply has no choice and is going to go thru the motions before disappearing.

On another note, I don't get how utanks wants more players yet seems so exclusive at the same time. Most utanks players have only hated on tp players to go along with the fact that it apparently takes a lot of work to play utanks when it's already not very active. That is not a recipe for success.

Oh, and tp does/did have it's share of problems as well, I'm not denying that.

I fail to see why this thread would turn into a flame thread.. The circumstances with TankPit are completely out of our control, I was hoping to get some people on line to try out utanks but Sean derailed that effort in a hurry.

I play whatever is active, if utanks was more active than TankPit the last year.. I probably would not have played TankPit. There are a lot of players who do the same, the fun is where everyone else is. Not killing bots hours on end in a dead map.

Kinda sick of the negative fucks in this community. Also the whole TankPit vs. uTanks is getting a little old.

Was going to see if we could get some fun going in White Sands or Blitz but ya know what, fuck it. Ya'll wanna be miserable with a dead game, not going to waste my time.
I'll just stick with Halo 4 when it comes out for xbox in November, won't have to worry about inactivity there either.

josh i don't get this post at all, lol. they know it exists, and any of them who are going to play have already decided to do so, and vice versa. fact is they have for the most part just lost the last 6-9 months of work, and most of them aren't going to start over on a game they find less preferable. bringing utanks forums onto here at this time just looks rude and inconsiderate, and like i said kinda clownish if tankpit comes back.

honestly i'm slightly surprised that you seem to have thought that they would just all go and play utanks, and it doesn't even appear as though you're the only one who thought that. if they weren't on utanks in 2011 then they don't know what they're missing out on (and if its dead they are missing out on nothing), but they do know they are missing out on the game they want to play

tankpitters have already voiced their displeasure over this "utanks" game and get more upset when the word utanks even gets mentioned on this forum. if tankpitters want to play, they will play and probably will not even post about it. the others will bitch and moan about how utanks is lame and they tried it for 2 days (lewl) then stopped and never want to hear it again. josh, dont get upset over the thread that you made and the reactions it caused. you cant get it through some of there thick skulls. play utanks for yourself, no need to try and get these tankpitters to follow.
