uTank awards

Yo Jordann no diss...But I honestly don't like the look of uTanks awards when you see them like on their top 25 list or on here...Certain awards look really chubby looking...The tanks, battered sword, etc...I'll post a few..

I feel like theyre are just overweight BF awards. I like the addition of the Onyx color and also think the idea of the amount of cups won is cool but again, I feel like the BF version is sharper in design shape. I don't make this post to talk shit. I just kind of always felt this way when I look ath the awards. Maybe I'm biased and in love with the nostalgic BF awards...Just some food for thought...

1 of the only good looking award combos in utanks only other award that would look semi decent is if they got a LB award. and imo this award look wierd and awkward :gcarto:

In comparison they stand no chance against bfs. I made all mine from scratch and it took a long time. It was the first time I've ever attempted pixel art. The dimensions I had to use sucked that's why they're so fat.

Yall are mean... Making fun of Jordann on his birthday. He made the uTanks awards out of the goodness of his heart, And they were awsome, they suck compared to tankpit/battlefield. and even jordan said this from the start. But battlefield/tankpit wasn't around when uTanks was here. And yeah he had to make them the size they are because of set dimensions. But they are really nice for his first time doing that stuff. But the heroic and war correspondent were always my least fav, never liked them. But the way he did the awards was cool , there was soo soo many dif combos you could get. with the star sets and everything.

thanks and yes from day one I said id never be able to make an award set that could compare with bfs. the awards are one of the only reasons i even started playing tankpit. theyre perfect. but utanks needed their own and tapioca (who was originally going to make the awards) was far too busy doing other key things with the utanks project as well as her own projects. at the time i was a noobie 'pixel artist' and they asked me to take over.

but fwiw they are tolerable and if utanks were to ever take off again id definitely recreate the awards. Ive learned alot more about doing that kind of stuff since ive made the awards and would do my own dimensions instead of following the ones asked. (ftr the current ones are 18x18 pixels, bfs are i think 12x12, and originally utanks was 24x24.)

also I dont consider constructive criticism 'making fun of me' ;)

i honestly think you did a solid job on the updates though. the original ones were atrocious. but the gold and textures you captured (amongst the other colors, especially the matte finish feel to the onyx i felt was perfect) when you re did them came out on point. I think the swords are lacking the most attention to detail. 1 more round of polish and sleeking out the awards to your own dimensions (smaller) i think it will look pretty fucking awesome. I was impressed when they came out. Definitely different from bfs but have their own special feel to them.

It's been said before but I challenge any of the whiny bitches complaining about awards (in a game they don't even play) to make your own set and see how much dick you really suck. IMO Jordan did an awesome job and there are many more possible combinations than tank pit. You don't like the way the awards look? So because someone on this forum made them, I should be forced to like them? Most people "making fun of Jordan" are just saying they don't like the awards. I looked at Ut awards and graphics and that, along with technical difficulties originally, basically made me have 0 interest in trying the game. I have nothing against the people that play(ed) it, I just decided it wasn't for me.

Personally I'm just not a fan of the award style. The prestige factor just gets confusing imo. I like the simple single, double triple in bf/tp and personally think the onyx looks weird as the "final" set. Gold should always be number 1 imo. And don't get me started on the gold and silver bushes

That said, Jordan did a fine job, especially as a self-proclaimed "noobie pixel artist" (I could never design awards...) and there are a lot more combo possibilities with the ut awards.
