Lol ^ right on the money.

Combat is my fave. The metal part in the heroic just has no character and makes the award a bit large and odd looking in my opinion. Othere then that i like it.

Edit: we could easily end up with worse though, but with the :ph:

talent around here its doubtful.

i personally like the heroic. looks best with a rusty :heroic:

and that may be true for some sean but i can vouch a thousand times over that nameless takes countless raids always. its others who we all know and love so much that run and hide from the heroic.

i would love to redesign the heroic. and sean speaks the truth. more people wouldnt be afraid of dying if the heroic wasnt so freakin ugly.

) award. As you said though, I am unwilling to waver my play just because I don't like the way an award looks.

Simple touch up. Believe it or not the ribbon on the death medals are not all the same length lol. and thats what makes the final medal so damn big. The :combat:

(short ribbon big metal star), the :battle:

(long ribbon short metal x/cross whatever), the :heroic:

(long ribbon chunk of metal lol) All I did to the :heroic:

was shorten the ribbon by one pixel and make the metal part of the medal round.

Yes this post is way to OCD.

Design isn't my strong point. I'm setting myself up for failure and disappointment if I think I can make anything worthy of a :ph:

. I put my best idea out there and wasn't good enough. I genuinely thought my map would be awesome to play, hoping I actually could give something back to the community that would benefit everyone. The competition is too stiff when it comes to design and being a good member of the community doesn't translate into talent. Hell, I haven't even put together a WC worthy submission. I really am at a loss as far as awards are concerned.

you and me both. You do have a WC on eldawg though....raid taking guide? Or did you do something else...so far all the winners I've found out about for WC have basically linked tankpit.com to some other forum and written a very basic review...completely unworthy of a WC in my eyes but I guess what these devs are looking for.

Yes, I do have one on el but I don't have a copy of it. I asked if they could send a copy to me so I could share it but never heard anything. No, it wasn't for the raid taking guide which is strange because I thought the guide was better than my winning submission.

Seriously though, Crazy Waters was by far the best idea I've ever had for BF or TP. I really thought it had a legitimate chance to win and I am pretty disappointed it didn't win. I'll not divulge in anymore self-pity after this.

like-wise. I was miffed for about 5 minutes then I was just like, well fuck it. I made a map that I wanted to play. Take into account that i'm a bit of a odd-ball around here and it's none too surprising that other maps were deemed more suitable. Imo people may not have liked my map at first but I think it would have become a firm favorite. Now it'll never have the chance.

ever notice that combat is a 5 point star...battle is a 4 point x ...then heroic is a circle...but WC is a 3 point triangle. I literally think WC is the original idea for heroic but they didn't like it in between the tank and sword or something
