Really liked how u came in and took a raid, even if it was on recruit we all had a laugh.
We just did what was fun and ignore who else out there is being gay. Leave them alone in their world, while we're in ours.
haha yeah was lulz. If i wasnt on touchpad + motel connection id take a raid. But like others have said its not even entirely the players fault. Its the devs, theyve been late on so many contests, they keep fucking with the equip/fuel ratio. they dont add ferries in every lake. The auto block every obby in water when a map comes up. and they constantly play the worst maps on the rotation over and over again. They obviously don't want activity. It's pretty sad how hard theyre dropping the ball. And people complained about utanks.
Yes, they really haven't done what is best in keeping activity up there. All we can do here is to hold out until their testing phase is over.

Agreed, right now it's a lot of tl;dr from BLUNTZ and BASEDGOD on there. Do new players actually read that stuff?
Viper Katzman wrote:eldawg51 wrote:Saying the game has no chance isn't helping though.
Just the way I see it.
Never saw uTanks taking off past the core group of "BF" players that returned to play it. Same goes for TP in my opinion.
The game has no chance to grow into a popular online game with thousands of players. No newbs gunna wanna stay a part of this for a long time. Be happy to be proven wrong though.
Should have elaborated initially El.
As it stands, I don't see the game growing unless people do a shit ton of word of mouth advertising, so I see your point. I never introduced players to BF except my cousin who never really played much. Everyone I talked to that I'm close to thinks it's weird, probably because it's not X-Box live.
I'd love to see you proven wrong, as well. Hopefully we get an influx of new players and we have a competent group to welcome them. Josh should also work on sending out a mass email to all the players here. There are 1500+ BFU accounts and I think if even a third of those put in time throughout the week, the game will grow.

Of course, people who openly cheat should be dealt with. I've always felt that you have to be the change you want to see in the game. People will see it and choose to play how they want. If they want to play like cowards and are arrogant about it, then they shouldn't be welcome, but if they're just rookies they need to be contacted somehow. People reached out to me when I was a newb. If we let newbs knows there's actually fun in fighting, I think they'll get better.
BLUNTZ 2 my dome wrote:eldawg51 wrote:Just like anything else, Tankpit is what you make it. If you make it fun it will be. Personally, I still find enjoyment in taking raids and I doubt anything, not Bluntz or any amount of newbness, will ever change that.
Saying the game has no chance isn't helping though.
Yup and for that im done switching colors just to take raids, when i know im gonna die, Pretty sad i gotta switch to blue cuz everyone is quittin on orange, and basegod wasnt in, but its cool im done doing that shit, im done taking the extra steps to make the game fun.
No one said "if you don't switch colors to take raids you're going to be flamed"; just fight whatever comes when it comes and it'll be returned when it's your time to raid. It's not a set rule that you have to follow, but it's just a natural aspect of the game; if you give action you will get it.

I had fun playing for 2 hours today. You guys are too pessimistic and are letting the group of rogues effect you too much.

Playing for a month I havent seen many players not take raids. I mean you have the obvious few . But thats about it ... It does however get boring after raiding a handful of consistent players that will take raids . Maybe im playing at the wrong time to notice players who don't play at our expectations.

The game could be successful if it is opened up to a large audience of new players. It might need to be modernized a bit more first, but I think it has good potential. Whether there is anyone in the world who will ever bother to try that, I'm more skeptical. Bonus didn't bother and TP is just run as a hobby. Enjoy it for what it is. It has a lot more potential than uTanks and it's good to know that the game still exists, and could be acted upon in the future. It will never get thousands of players by people stumbling on bfunity that's for sure but you can't rule it out, nor does the game necessarily need thousands of players to be fun.

i like both games, i just play whatever is most popular / active.
400 hours invested in uTanks
260 hours invested in TankPit
bf...LOL
prob like 2000+ hours at minimum '97-'07
if a new game comes out that is more popular and i like it, i will probably ride the wave and play it. i dont really give a shit for the competition as long as the creators are fair and the game is fun for me.

Why does anyone play? It's because they still enjoy it to some degree, I would assume.
Why do you feel like 'we' deserve what we get and that the game is dead? I'm asking a genuine question here, I'm not being an ass.

sean's attitude is a necessary evil. he may be blunt and seem like an asshole but thats how you get shit done. He also invested a ton of time in utanks and contributed a mass amount towards the growth. It sucks when some of the key players in this community give up, the players and devs are both to blame but more so the devs on their terrible choice of maps. however sean would probably enjoy most of these maps for the challenge.

I know Sean would. He would love Quick Sand.
I just ran myself insufficient chasing this dude around on a ferry. I didn't even have enough fuel to send a message and I had to sit there and watch 40 shields get drained. It was awfully painful to watch, haha. BLUNTZ of course had one of his 80294 spamming tanks in screaming lame and nice fk noob. I just said whatever and had to leave for work. Good times.

Lol bluntz is definitely not all there in the head. He thinks everyone is out to get him and crying to him the whole time. If you send a message in game, he thinks it's towards him. If you attack him , he thinks you have a problem with him. He also seems to think he can live 7v1 raids when I haven't seen him live anything more than 3v1....and berates all of my raid takes even when ther good rofl. I had him on aim for a couple days, tried to talk some sense into him.
Conclusion: He's not on my aim anymore.
Beyond paranoid...
