Diffculties playing TP

I have a problem and maybe I can get some help here.

This is the first time I had a chance today to play TP for quite a while as before I had problems logging in and also due to rl I did not have time for the last few months due to job etc

My problem is this: When I go to roll my tank(Back in the day it was called driving) there are times instead when I click on the map I will end up firing.Has there been some changes done to TP? Or is it a java issue perhaps?I have had other problems with this computer so perhaps its that.

I played the game quite a bit in the past so I think I know the game well but I have never had this problem and when TP was released in Jan this problem did not occur

Any help would be much appreciated and thanks in advance for any info on my problem.I will bbl tonite to check this thread.

Hey pal! Welcome back. It's still called driving, and my guess is maybe you are heavy on the mouse or it's sticking and need a new one. The same thing happens to me on occasion. Is it happening every time?

I've seen this happen several times while I was taking raids. Got me killed every time. From my experience it has been verrrrry infrequent, and I have no idea what triggers it.

You're probably clicking too hard or double clicking very fast or right clicking or mouse is reversed or clicking on enemy mines?

Anytime this has ever happened to me.its my own error. In other words iv never had any issues like you guys described.

I think El and SW are possibly right as it might be the mouse and could be the problem.The only thing I find strange is that there are a couple of PC games I play that I do not have any problems whatsoever but again this comp has had certain issues since day one even though it is new.

I will try again to play later and see what happens and if no luck I will buy a new mouse this weekend,,,hopefully will get this problem solved either way.

I have a problem where I sometimes press "F", I get the "Zoom in" text, but the map doesn't open and I have to press it again twice before I can tele. Very annoying.

What browser are you using. I have this issue where the game screen freezes but the game its self is still playing. For example you can still here sound and actions still register. Just nothing within the game window actually moves. I am pretty sure my issue is related to firefox beta though.

Chrome, and a stable build. It's not the game screen freezing though...it's weird.

I'll see if it happens again next time I play (very infrequently). If it does I'll try and work out the circumstances in which it happens a bit better; usually it happens when I start to get a little mobbed so I have to ignore it and play on.

That's happened to me when I get a 'You can't do this' or if I minimize the TP window then go back to it the map freezes but the message center works, just as you described. I don't know if that's :dot:

worthy or not. I've sent other things like that as well, haven't come up with anything.

Good luck, usually refreshing the page fixes it.

I've also had the reverse happen several times where the game keeps going but the message center will freeze on WAIT FOR MOVE, or FIRE or GETTING EQUIPMENT.

This is what causes my screen to freeze most of the time. If I switch from the game to another applet or windows and come back the game screen is froze. But the message box still shows action and if you turn on the sound you can actually hear the action the screen just isnt showing any movement.

Yeah I tried that. On windows 7 its a pain in the ass compared to windows vista. In 7 you have to manually turn the box on to view anything and even then im not really sure what I am looking at. Simple fix is to quit out and refresh lol. I figured the issue was firefox but I don't know what browser eldawg is using.

Ya I was talking to SW the other night bout some bugs, freezing was one of them. Submitted the Java Console errors I've been getting for the animation freezing lately for dot last week.
